Description

He is greyer and maybe would be modern dark rose grey. Ryker is a very handsome bay black 3/4 accoyo son of CPeruvian Express (MF) and our 1/2 accoyo TB girl Goldsmith's Trixie. As many of you know Goldsmith can easily put out gray offspring and Express also has the recessive gray gene. Ryker has enough gray fibers throughout his fleece that he would probably show in indefinite. As a juvey we had him in our showstring and he color checked as a bay black but judge saw the start of the gray fiber and downgraded him in that class. No matter, his fleece is wonderfully soft and dense. His stats at 18 mths were 18.6, 4.8 and 26.1 (due to the variable color no doubt). That micron on a yearling black is really wonderful. He is very dense yet has a super soft wonderful buttery hand. The crimp style is very high frequency with low applitude. Ryker has strong conformation and pleasant personality. I've made his fleece into yarn the last two years by mixing with bamboo and making it into a sock yarn. It is a quick seller! This guy has huge potential to throw gray or black and is a rare 3/4 accoyo black. This low price only reflects our desire to make room in the boy barn and is not reflective of his quality. Part of our Two Weddings and a Barn Full Sale so price has been dropped even more. Take advantage and add this smokey brown male to your herd at fiber male pricing.
