Straightfork Peruvian Eclipse
HuacayaMaleLight Fawn
AOA# 30376229DOB: 9/28/200618 yrs
Eclipse has matured into a nice sized male with great conformation, coverage and fiber. He has a nice disposition as well. His fiber has fine crimp with multiple crimps per inch. It spins up into a gorgeously lofty lightweight yarn.
Eclipse's family tree is heavy on Accoyo genetics, including those of Caligula, Pachacuti and Accoyo Andian Pride.
Eclipse now has 5 crias on the ground and all but 1 are female. All look wonderful!
AOA# 30376229 Light Fawn
Dam: Carmell
32150421<--ari-->Medium Brown<--color-->Carmell is a full Peruvian proven mother. She has had 2 lovely female crias, one of which, a very light fawn sired by our Eclipse, is still here on our farm as part of our permanent herd. Carmell does not really fit into our breeding program and so we will let her go at a good price. Her fiber is still fine and her conformation is excellent. We had a hard time getting her pregnant the first time, but then she had 2 crias 2 years in a row. We did not get her bred last fall after her second cria was born, so she is currently being bred far a fall 2012 cria.
Update: As of Nov 8, 2011, Carmell is behavior-testing positive for pregnancy from a breeding on October 12. Ultrasounds will be done around the first of December. Lightning is a gorgeous male with tons of ribbons, especially for his fiber. He has produced 1 cria to date and I sure can't wait to see his cria crop for next fall.
Carmell ultrasounded positive in early December.

Description
Here is a nice young female. Conformationally correct, good bite, nice fiber, genetics from Caligula, Pachacuti, and Camelot. Everything we look for. She has color in her makeup from her dam, who is medium brown, so she may produce color.
Aurora was exposed to a male in spring 2014, but does not appear to have gotten pregnant, so she is selling as open.
If I were planning to continue with an alpaca breeding program, I would be keeping Aurora. But I am changing my plans more toward the fiber industry in general and so I am selling all my breeding stock to someone who will use them. It is hard to let them go...
