19 Time Halter Champion in True Black! 2012 has been good to Jacob Black. Every show he went to, he was the Color Champion, and it didn't matter if it was the Futurity or Nationals. He finished 2012 with a stellar 19 halter champion banners! Jacob Black has great conformation, a beautiful fleece, and a handsome head. His true black fleece is extremely uniform with a very expressive crimp style found normally on white animals. His personality is laid back and gentle. Jacob Black started showing when he was 9 months old, and since that time, he bannered in every show he went to, with the exception of a blue ribbon at the Futurity when he was 10 months old. Jacob is not available to outside breedings. He will be an exclusive, restricted herdsire for our black program, and he will join 15 time champion Knight Rider in producting show winning blacks. Update: Jacob Black wins Reserve Dark Herdsire at the 2015 Futurity and the 2016 Futurity! That is a fabulous achievement! Update: Jacob Black's crias are outstanding, and many of them are already champions themselves!

Meet a 7 time champion and a Judges Choice Champion at the large Minnesota Expo! Already an 8 time blue ribbon winner (out of 8 showings, 3 Color Champions and 3 Reserve Color Champions, AND ONE JUDGES CHOICE all as a juvi, this girl is something special! Do you think she takes after her 15 time champion brother? So you are wondering why the name......Javelin's dam Carousel was due during the Futurity show this year. During the long ride to OK City, an oldies station played America's big hit, Sister Golden Hair, several times. That song is a favorite, so I vowed that if Carousel had a girl, she would be named Sister Golden Hair. Appropriate for a fawn, don't you think? And the cria was both fawn and female! She arrived on the Saturday of the Futurity, so timing was everything. This little girl has big shoes to fill. Her golden hair might be like her big brother, Javelin, a 15 time champion male now breeding. Or she might be like big brother Renegade, a 6 time champion during last show season. Either way, we say that she will for sure be a multiple champion. No doubt about it! And did we mention her sire is an 8 time champion? Sister Golden Hair has a spot in our foundation herd for as long as she wishes. Update: Sister Golden Hair just delivered her second black female from Jacob Black in June of 2014. Her black female from Jacob born in June of 2013 won the 2014 Reserve Black female color championship at the Futurity in April. Can we dare hope for both of them to win at the same show next year? Time will tell!

Description

Yes, Jacob Black can throw black out of fawn! Meet one of his first babies. Here is a black daughter out of Jacob Black, and our lovely female, Sister Golden Hair. Sister had many halter champions in her day, like 8, and also had a Judges Choice award. We look forward to competing with this girl. She is straight as a string, and has full coverage from head to toe. Fleece will be fantastic as well. Update as of 10-1-13: This girl is NICE! See her in the purple ribbons and see her there often! One of our best crias from 2013! Update: 2 color champions in 4 shows, as a juvi! Best update of all - Show Girl wins reserve color champion at the Futurity as a juvi! Update November 2014: Show Girl gets a reserve color champion at the Oklahoma Blastoff show, and yet another blue ribbon! That makes 5 blues and 4 champion banners for this girl..............Very nice! Final Update............Showgirl retires from the ring with 6 champion banners and 8 blue ribbons........that's a fabulous record!
