We are very excited about the offspring hitting the ground from our full Accoyo beige son of El Nino (Caligula's best son), who had a 16.3 micron fleece at one year! Dr. Norman Evans did a skin biopsy in the fall of 2005, and according to his results, Michelangelo's density is absolutely unmatched (S/P Ratio of 13.28/1 and follicle density an amazing 107 follicles per sq/mm)! One of the softest AND densest fleeces I've ever had the pleasure to touch! Multiple champion and blue ribbon winner in fleece and halter! Michelangelo had confirmed pregnancies at 22 months, and to date has many healthy CHAMPION offspring on the ground (including ROSE GREY, SILVER GREY, medium brown, light fawn, beige and white! His offspring took blues in both juvenile white male AND female classes at AOBA Nationals, and a grey took a blue at the Futurity! Judge Kevin O'Leary commented that a white Michelangelo offspring he judged at AOBA had "the finest fleece he'd had in his ring all day! Herdsire discounts from SSF do not apply to Michelangelo breedings. We will begin booking a few limited outside breedings for 2008.

COLOR CHAMPION AGAIN AT 19 MONTHS OF AGE! RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION AGAIN AT 19 MONTHS OF AGE, Sweepstakes, Colorado! AWI Express's Golden Girl is the result of a pairing of 2 national champions, Royal Peruvian Destiny and CPeruvian Accoyo Express. Championship material herself, Golden Girl is now making Irish Meadows her home, along with her mother, Destiny. Among her honors, Blue in a large class of 11 at the Futurity, against the top competition in the country! We just love her fleece. High frequency crimp and bundling are found uniformly within her blanket. She has wonderful luster. She has incredible density. Genetics like Golden Girl are the cornerstones of our breeding program. We expect many champions from this girl! You know you have something special, something Golden, when she receives 8 Color Champions by 19 months of age. Golden Girl will be bred come spring, but the verdict is still out on the sire. Imagine that cria! And she is first in line for Marathon the following spring. We don't currently show fleeces, but once we do, expect a lot more color champions from Golden Girl!

Description

Irish Meadows Peruvian Golden Boy is everything we hoped for from his dam, 9 time champion Golden Girl. This little guy has lovely buttery fleece with a gorgeous sheen, similar to his dam. And his sire Michelangelo needs no introduction. Golden Boy's fleece shimmers with brightness. He has uniform zipper, bundling crimp from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. If you want to introduce buttery feeling fleece to your herd, here is the guy for you. Golden Boy will be fun to show. We predict he will be multi champion. Time will tell. One thing is for certain. Buying this guy at a young age is a smart move. Update: Amanda Van de Bosche selects Golden Boy for the first place in juvi beige males. She loved his brightness, and his fine fleece. She declared him the finest in the class. Southern Select, March, 2011 Update: Same comments from Amanda two weeks later at Spring Bling. Blue Ribbon again!
