Avalon's Jacob Black

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 31526920DOB: 6/25/201014 yrs
19 Time Halter Champion in True Black! 2012 has been good to Jacob Black. Every show he went to, he was the Color Champion, and it didn't matter if it was the Futurity or Nationals. He finished 2012 with a stellar 19 halter champion banners! Jacob Black has great conformation, a beautiful fleece, and a handsome head. His true black fleece is extremely uniform with a very expressive crimp style found normally on white animals. His personality is laid back and gentle. Jacob Black started showing when he was 9 months old, and since that time, he bannered in every show he went to, with the exception of a blue ribbon at the Futurity when he was 10 months old. Jacob is not available to outside breedings. He will be an exclusive, restricted herdsire for our black program, and he will join 15 time champion Knight Rider in producting show winning blacks. Update: Jacob Black wins Reserve Dark Herdsire at the 2015 Futurity and the 2016 Futurity! That is a fabulous achievement! Update: Jacob Black's crias are outstanding, and many of them are already champions themselves!

6X Champion

Irish Meadows P Black Jewel

HuacayaBred (Female)Bay Black, True Black
AOA# 31590372DOB: 6/29/200915 yrs
3 X Champion as a Juvi and 3 X as a Yearling! Irish Meadows P Black Jewel is a dream girl. She's great looking, put together, and has gorgeous soft crimpy fleece. The P in her name stands for Peruvian, but we are pretty sure it also stands for purple. We think she will have multiple purples in her future, like 3 time champion mom and 5 time champion dad. Update: We were right, as a juvi, Black Jewel already has 3 champions! Look for this little girl in the show ring in spring 2010. She's one that you won't want in your halter class. Black Jewel looks like a walking teddy bear, she's that cute! Black Jewel's fleece feels like it has lotion on it. It's luscious to dig your hands into it. Update: We were right, the P does stand for purple! Black Jewel takes reserve color champion at the Minnesota Alpaca Expo, behind color champion Dazzlyn from Irish Meadows as well! It was a great win for the farm! One of the most beautiful females you will ever see. Can't wait to breed her. More pictures coming soon.
