Description

The Duchess of Cornwall is a bright medium brown with striking white markings on her face and feet. She is instantly recognizable in the show ring and in the pasture. She is the product of Little Duchess of PVA and Corneliani of PVA. Like her dam, she is tall and well-built. Like her sire, she is covered from nose to toes with thick heavy curls of fleece, a trademark feature of Corneliani's that he passes along to all of his offspring. Little Duchess is one of PVA's foundation females. Her sire is none other than PVA Mahogany Prince himself, and her dam is another mighty foundation female, Woodsedge Duchess. Her name appears again and again in PVA's pedigrees. Through her dam, The Duchess of Cornwall is half-sister to the likes of Black Debutante of PVA (another magnificent foundation female and the mother of champions), the true black multiple championship winning brothers Luxor of PVA and Lockstar of PVA, and to The Countess of PVA, a five time Color and Reserve Color Championship winner in 2010. Corneliani is, of course, one of PVA's active herdsires. Corneliani is the sire of Nichelle of PVA and Amber Fantasee of PVA, as well as PVA's Prince of Persia, to name a few. He is the son of Chanelle's Peruvian Chantilly Lace, another PVA foundation female, and the legendary Montoya of PVA. Thus, The Duchess of Cornwall is a veritable treasure trove of Park View's oldest and most reliable bloodlines. The Duchess of Cornwall comes with a breeding to the 2011 IAO Supreme Champion himself, Chakotah's Wyuna. This breeding should result in the blending of some of the best bloodlines available today in the alpaca industry.
