The Elite Maximus is one of those few animals who possess instant name recognition in the alpaca world. His reputation as a herdsire, and before that, in the show ring, is second to none. For many years he was the linchpin of Park View Alpacas' huacaya breeding program, and his many offspring have carried his low micron count and incredibly dense buttery fleece to victory in the showring. Max, as we called him, was sold to West Penn Alpacas at the Prestige Auction in September of 2011. Please direct any inquiries about EM to Debbie Harden and West Penn Alpacas. We have included him in our Openherd database in order to honor him as one of our herdsires, and because we still own many off his children and grandchildren.

Description

Miranda is on patrol when she is out in the pasture. She paces up and down the fenceline, craning her neck for a better view. Halt! Who goes there, friend of foe? And skips away, satisfied that you are a friend. Miranda has been at West Penn Alpacas in Pennsylvania since the summer of 2010. She was bred to Quechua's Verticase for an October cria, her first. Sure enough, she delivered a white male cria on October 7th, 2011. Bred back to Verticase, she delivered a white female cria in November of 2012. She is a vigilant mother, and has passed along her great bloodlines and beautiful fleece.
