Black Chips Delight

SuriBred (Female)Bay Black
AOA# 842776DOB: 7/19/200222 yrs
Affectionately abbreviated as BCD, Black Chip's Delight is tall and sturdy, the picture of health, of almost Amazonian proportions. She produces crias that share her health and stamina. On herd health check days with our vet, we rarely if ever note any sort of malady by BCD's name, or that of any of her crias. She gives birth with ease and her milk production is good. BCD has been as trouble-free as we could dare to wish. As can be seen from the photos on this page, Black Chip's Delight can generally be relied upon to produce crias that are some combination of true black and white. For 2011 we bred her to Kobe of PVA, a favorite cross, and sure to produce some exciting color! We were not disappointed: BCD provided us with a beautiful true black female! BCD gave birth to another cria by Kobe in September 2012. This little man is true black, with a white chin, and white feet, and an engaging personality...just like his brothers and sisters!

Description

"As I live and breathe," said a visitor to PVA last fall, "that looks like Peruvian Angel walking by!" She must have known Peruvian Angel, because we didnt tell her that Dynamite of PVA is his great-grandson. Was it something in the way he moves, something in his carriage and pride, his head, his fleece? "All the above," she said. Dynamite is true black, with white chrome (as those of us who are horse-world refugees like to call it). His locks are fine, but not too fine, and lustrous. The judges at CABA must have seen something to admire, because Dynamite scored a blue ribbon and then a reserve championship in 2011. Dynamite showed in 2012 as well. He snagged another Color Championship for himself, this time at the International Alpaca Odessey. Currently, Dynamite living out at pasture with his buddies, enjoying the sensation of being shorn and dreaming of breeding...
