Montoya is one of Mahogony Prince’s most illustrious sons. The blending of his sire, the legendary Mahogany Prince of PVA and his irreplaceable dam, BBFAI Azalea, produced such a pre-potent male. Montoya possesses a rich, deep mahogany colored fleece that is extremely dense, with excellent coverage and well locked from the tip of his ears to his toes AND is a multiple COLOR CHAMPION. Offspring include: Silvana of PVA, 2006 Gray CHAMPION; Olivia of PVA, 2006 AOBA & AWE COLOR CHAMPION; Fantasia of PVA, 2008 Reserve COLOR CHAMPION at the AOBA Nationals & AWE and half sister to 2006 Supreme CHAMPIONS Diamonte and Syrah, both of whom were also AOBA National COLOR CHAMPIONS. -Full brother to the legendary Kobe of PVA and Juan Pablo of PVA.

Chantilly Lace, a pretty face...forget about the pony tail hanging down. As for the wiggle in her walk and the giggle in her talk, we'll leave it Montoya of judge that. After all, he's been Chantilly's main squeeze for most of her breeding career here at Park View Alpacas. Working together as a breeding team, Chantilly and Montoya have had a reasonable influence on our breeding program. This pairing has given us Corneliani of PVA, who is used as a herd sire here at PVA. They have also given us the divine Ivory Princess of PVA--mother of Ivory Prince (standing stud at Alpacas of Tualatin Valley), the incomparable Imperial Princess, and Prince of India; as well as Cristalla of PVA, who began her own reproductive career before selling at the 2012 Prestige Auction. Chantilly gave birth to a female cria the day before she was due--June 25 2012--a healthy beige female cria who is currently gaining a pound a day! This year, however, we have decided to try something new. Chantilly was bred to Chakotah's Wyuna, and is now expecting a 2013 cria. Chantilly tends to produce robust, healthy crias who quickly outgrow their immediate peers--they get taller, sooner than the others, and quickly outweigh them. Her crias all have curly corkscrew independent locks with some nice luster--and we're finding this trait in her grandchildren as well. In short, Chantilly is one of those foundation females that we feel quite fortunate to have, and while we are pleased with her Montoya crias, we're REALLY looking forward to seeing what she produces with Wyuna...

Description

Cristalla of PVA is a creamy ivory color, delicately balanced on the color spectrum between white and fawn. Cristalla is out of Chanelle's Peruvian Chantilly Lace, and by Montoya of PVA. She is a full sister to the likes of Corneliani, one of PVA's current herdsires--Corneliani is the sire of Nichelle of PVA and Amber Fantasee of PVA, as well as PVA's Prince of Persia, to name a few. Cristalla is also full sister to the lovely Ivory Princess of PVA, Supreme Champion at the 2007 International Alpaca Odessey, and dam of 2011 IAO Supreme Champion Imperial Princess of PVA. Cristalla's dam, Chantilly Lace, is one of PVA's most reliable foundation females. She has been bred to Montoya year after year, and together they produce a very distinctive cria--they produce animals with awesome coverage, head to toe and tail with thick curly fleece, and blankets that feature well-defined locks. Montoya is, of course, a full brother to the one and only Kobe of PVA and a son of Mahogany Prince; Montoya enjoyed a respectable show career, but it is through his offspring that his full potential has been realized. Thanks to her sire, Cristalla is a half-sister to such PVA showring powerhouses as 2008 National Show Color Champion Fantasia of PVA, 2009 Futurity Color Champion Koenigsegg of PVA, 2010 CABA Classic Color Champion Makayla of PVA, 2011 IAO Spinner's Choice winner Montoya's Heir Apparent, and 2012 CABA Classic Color Champion Duquesa of PVA. Cristalla gave birth to her first cria in 2010, Cristobal of PVA, by MacGyver's Balboa. As we'd expected, she emulated her mother, Chantilly Lace, and sister, Ivory Princess, who both produce beautiful, healthy, quality crias. Cristobal took a blue ribbon at the 2011 Alpaca Breeder's Invitational, where he was admired for his luster. Cristalla was rebred to MacGyver's Balboa for a July 2012 cria--this cria was born July 10th and is a light fawn female. Both mother and cria will be offered for sale at the September 2012 Prestige Auction. Cristalla is currently expecting her third cria in 2013, by Chakotah's Wyuna.
