EXTREME HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR

Grand River Amstel

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 849320DOB: 6/25/200321 yrs
Almost the end of an era! Amstel is the last alpaca we have offered for sale and one of our best herdsires. He has done well for us and has made his well known sire, Dark Shaddow, proud. Just take a look at his credentials and you will agree that this is one fine true black herdsire who has too much too offer and should not be passed up! We are offering our 1/2 interest for sale in Amstel. Full interest is also available. Reasonable offers will be considered for this outstanding true black herdsire. 2009 EXTREME DARK HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR! If you like Dark Shaddow then your going to love Amstel. He looks just like his late Sire and is also a non-fading jet true black. Amstel's offspring have won several awards including several blue ribbons. So far Amstel has produced 100% true black out of true black dams, true black and bay black out white dams and silver gray out of a gray dam! He has also been bred to two multis and produced solid colored crias. Amstel is the first offspring born out of our multiple true black champion, Dark Shaddow and he is just as spectacular. Amstel still looks great for his age and is still maintaining his fine fleece characteristics. Amstel has extremely dense fleece with a very fine handle and tight crimp exhibiting multiple crimps per inch. He has extensive coverage from head to toes, large bones and a full topknot. An added bonus is the wonderful temperment he has. Amstel has been shown in several shows and has placed in the top of his class in all of them including winning three championships. At the 2005 AAA Futurity Amstel beat the previous years Futurity Champion including 3 of Snowmass Alpacas Nova's sons including Private Reserve who sold at Snowmass 2008 auction. Grand River Amstel is proudly co-owned with West Penn Alpacas. Call or email Grand River Alpaca Farm to reserve your breeding to Amstel. $1500 for drive by breeding or $2000 which includes 60 days board. Please inquire for additional information.

Grand River Zurina

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 1233759DOB: 8/27/200519 yrs
Zurina is a proven producer of high quality offspring. Her first two offspring are top show winners in large competetive level V shows! She has excellent coverage from head to toe. Her fiber is very bright and dense with well defined high amplitude bold style crimp. She is the grandaughter of the late 4Peruvian Legacy (the highest selling alpaca in world who sold for $750K 1/2 interest), Danko, and Caballero Adante. Her Sire is the well known 8 time color champion, Rayo Del Sol (the highest selling gray male in the world and also closed to outside breedings). Outside breedings to Rayo Del Sol are no longer available and the only way to obtain his genetics is from his offspring. Zurina is half sister to champions Grand River Esperanza and Grand River Luminosity, both sired by Dark Shaddow. Zurina is a great investment for someone who is a breeder of grays, as she is our gray female in disguise. So if you have a black herdsire of your own, consider adding Zurina to your herd. Zurina is currently open and ready to breed to your male.

Description

Once you see Bravo you are going to wonder how we can let him go from our breeding program. Well we own his Sire Grand River Amstel, who has won several championships and blue ribbons and we also own his Dam, Zurina. So, we are planning on repeating this breeding after to Zurina this coming spring. Bravo is just awesome! His conformation is excellent and his coverage extreme from head to toe. Once you open up his fleece it is very bright and extremely dense with zippered style crimp. This young male is packed full of incredible sought after genetics of Dark Shaddow, Grand River Amstel, the late Accoyo Peruvian Legacy, Rayo Del Sol, Danko, the Silver Bullet and Caballero Adante. As a matter of fact, Bravo looks very much like his 8x champion grandsire, Rayo Del Sol.
