Stainless Steele

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 30937550DOB: 6/26/200816 yrs
When I had begun skirting Steele's fiber to be processed into yarn. I was amazed at how fine his fiber is, especially for a grey. In both of his 2011 male crias, he was definitely pushing his grey color with a soft fiber, & that zipper crimp had began to come in on both of them. NOTE OF INTEREST: I JUST RECEIVED STEELE'S YARN, MADE OUT OF HIS FLEECE. OH, MY GOSH - I KNEW HIS FIBER WAS ULTRA SOFT FROM SKIRTING IT, OH MY GOSH!!!!! Check out the picture I posted on it. BEAUTIFUL GRAY!!!!!! AND, look at the HISTOGRAM CONCERNING HIS FIBER. Stainless Steele is quite a handsome male, starting with his typey head all the way down to his toes. Definitely can see why Wade Gease commented that Steele has well-balanced conformation on a rock solid frame. And, take a look at that picture of his fleece! Great architecture with a crisp, tight crimp structure. His density is not compromised at all by the fineness. Also, he has exceptional uniformity and color consistency with that eye-catching, classical, ms grey fleece. These are elements that are often missing in other grey fleeces. Then, there is a power house of notable genetic lineage backing him. He takes the best of his multi-champion grey sire, Quasar, combined with the strength of his dam, Paca's Opal. Without a doubt, there is a long list of stately herdsires whose presences are stamped on this male. Check out his ARI certificate to see exactly what I speaking of. There is a female guarantee with his breeding fee. We firmly believe in this policy. In 2011, we rebred our girl, Hadassah, to Steele & got a beautiful rose gray girl. And, once again, we plan on rebreeding Hadassah with Steele in hopes of getting another beautiful girl in 2016.With today's financial situation, this is something to seriously consider. The listed price is for drive pass only. If you need to have your girl stay, let's talk and work something out. Our goal is to build lasting relationships, not just to have customers.

When we first considered breeding our foundation girl, Sangria to Jaegermeister, we saw him & knew that this would be a perfect match. Here is the result of that match, Hadassah. She has quite the pedigree on both sides - Lanark's Teddy and CPeruvian Jaxon on her dam's side with NGG Lional, Peruvian Bueno, Peruvian Courvoisier, and Peruvian Drambuie on her sire's side. W-O-W!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before she was 6 months old, she was a blue ribbon girl, even with her cria tips. Hadassah definitely is what we feel the alpaca industry should be breeding for. She has such soft, fine fiber in that dark mocha-chocolate color. We have been told she is considered a high-in, quality female, requiring a finishing male to breed her to. Well, we did just that! In 2011, Hadassah gave birth to her 1st cria - such a UNIQUE, meduim rose grey male, Steele's Steely Stan, who is out of our herdsire, Stainless Steele. Take a look at the pictures of her crias here & you will see what I'm speaking of. They are everything that we hoped for & more. Without a doubt, this was a definite rebreed, & we got a beautiful, rose grey female, Silver Raine Drops. On 3rd of June, 2015, Hadassah gave birth to an AWESOME, 20 lb. light Silver Grey male that we named, Hunter. Beautiful fiber coming right out damp. His body structure is as it should be too. He will hunt & "steele" away your heart!!!!!!! Rebred Hadassah back to Steele for a 2016 cria. And, we did get another female! Steele's Sabrynna, the dark princess. We decided to breed her to another awesome silver grey male, Michael Giavanni's Sir Gibson who has 2 grey parents. Gibson is a fifth generation of grey and black. His dam has Rhett Butler, a light silver grey who I have always wanted an animal out of his lineage. Will be interesting to see results of this breeding in 2017.

Description

With her arrival, the rain that we have needed came too. So, I decided to name her Rain Drop. But, I researched girl names and discovered that in latin "Raine" is short for Regina which means Queen. Her dam, Hadassah, was named so because 'Hadassah' is the true Hebrew name for Queen Esther & means 'star' . So, now we have the 'star' mother queen, and her daughter, the little queen. LOL! This is Hadassah & Steele's 2nd cria together. As we were hoping, we got a girl. Not quite sure what shade of grey she is, but, time will tell. Her full brother, Steely Stan, was an unusual grey, especially after the cria tips were removed. For right now, she's enjoying the weather [when it's not raining], playing outside, & growing as she should.
