HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 841734DOB: 10/15/200222 yrs
When we first saw Sangria as a young juvi, she was truly unlike any of the other alpacas there at the farm. She stayed visiting with us the whole time. She has such a striking present about her with those black tips. Her name certainly described her coloring and she still has such sweet disposition which is like her dam, Catalina's Girl! We fell in love with this gentle, sweet girl & decided that we wanted to get into raising alpacas. Since that time, she has turned out to be a great mom and has produced 7 healthy crias - 3 girls & 4 boys. For the most part, her easy-going personality has been passed on to her off-spring which you can see some displayed here on her page. Starlit Hadassah is also hers & listed separately here on our site. UPDATE: Sangria gave birth to a 17 lb. male cria, on Sept. 24th. He resembles Sangria's coloring, just a little darker. He named him 'COHIBA ROBUSTO', after the premium, Cuban cigar. [Strong male name] Such a comical guy! So, if you are interested in seeing her in person, give us a call & make arrangements to come out a see all 4 - Sangria, her new db boy, the mrg 2011 cria, Willow Rose, and Steele. They're all at the same farm as is Hadassah & Sangria's newest grand-daughter, Gentle Raine Drop, total of 6. Steele is also listed on this website & has had 1 male & 3 females crias this year. Having been in the business now for 9 yrs, Kenny & I decided to downsize some for our retirement. And, we still have her daughter, Hadassah, to carry on her bloodlines in our herd. We want Sangria to find new owners who will appreciate owning her as we have.

Description

When we rebred Sangria to Crusader, we were hoping for 2 things: 1st to get a female since we got a male last year; 2nd, that she would also be a grey. Well, I must admit, we were pleasantly surprized! Willow resembles her sire much more than Smokey Myke who is a modern, dark rose grey. And, she has the classical tuxedo. Such a petite little girl too. Now, if Willow ends up with her dam's & grand dam's gentle, sweet disposition, she will be almost perfect. YOU might want to consider purchasing her dam who has a breeding to our herdsire, Stainless Steele. He too had a rose grey male, Steely Stan, born to Sangria's daughter, Hadassah. Look on Steele's page and you can view what this male looks like. UPDATE: My dam, Sangria, is definitely pregnant with Steele's cria for next year, due Sept. 22, 2012. Alright, Mom!!!! : > )
