Yuma of Long Hollow - Deceased

SuriMaleMedium Brown
AOA# 1191189DOB: 9/22/200519 yrs
Take a look at his offspring's history and you will see why we loosing our Yuma in September 2019 was so difficult. This is a very dense yet very soft fleeced male. He is one of our last 2 breedings with PPeruvian Angel before he died. This is the kind of fleece that you have to dig through to get to the skin. But when you do there's the luster you are looking for. "Yuma" stands for "Chief's son" and he has the same solid bone and build of his sire. His dam is Alpha (a Papacito/Penelope offspring) Which makes Yuma full Peruvian, 1/4 Accoyo. Alpha is a half sister to Admiral's Commander. We have bred Yuma to our MacGuyver girls since he is totally unrelated. He passes on the body & the fiber that got him a 1st at AOBA & 1st at the Futurity.

Dam: BBFAI Izabelle

Dam of one of our Best Females!

BBFAI Izabelle

SuriOpen (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 30357242DOB: 5/29/200618 yrs
Izabelle is an easy-going female who enjoys being on the lead and going for walks. She has dense and well-locked fiber, wonderful confirmation and is calm during toe-trimming and injections. She seems to have inherited her mom's hearty constitution and has passed that trait on nicely to her crias. Izabelle is the "go to" girl for a snack if another cria is hungry. One of our best females, LHSA Pandora, was her 2nd cria. Both Dam and daughter are still producing gorgeous cria's! Izabelle's SHIP score is 4.17 out of a possible 5. Her scores for confirmation were perfect! Izabelle's density is 38.5 follicles /sq. mm, with a S/P of 9.7. Her secondary fibers average 25.7 micron with primaries at 40.6micron. Izabelle's AFD is 27.09 and his fiber shear weight averages between 3.8-4.0 pounds annually. A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously. • All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria. • Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis. • All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm. • Bred females receive a minimum of 1 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician. We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.

Deceased

Description

Yulissa passed away 2016 - Her personality is still remembered on our farm. Yulissa was born Oct. 27th, 2009 and has been a bundle of joy ever since! Thanks to her dam's great mothering abilities and ample milk, she is a confident and solid little girl - not only keeping up with the older cria, but usually leading them as they run wild. Yulissa's light fawn fiber has tiny locks, with astounding luster and superb coverage. She has a lovely, pheno-typical suri head and is sure to be a head turner in the ring this coming season. In the future, we are sure she will pass on the darker colors that she has in her genetics, having multiple True Blacks (Izela and Renzo) on her Dam’s side and our own, Medium Fawn, Yuma of Long Hollow (an Angel Son) as her Sire. Yulissa takes after her dam and is a great mother also. Offspring: LHSA Orient Express by Railway
