AOA# 829412DOB: 8/18/200123 yrs
The Babe is in a league of his own! One of the few Full Accoyo Dark Med Fawns in the Country. When people get their hands on him, they comment about how is fleece is like getting lost in a bowl of butter. It is thick, rich and smooth. We have the results of The Babe's first pairing. We bred him to a beautiful girl who has solid conformation and good staple, yet she needed crimp, density, coverage and top knot. That is a big order, but we were confident that The Babe could pull it off. She was born fall of 2004 and what a beauty! Her name is Camille and at just 6 months old competed at the MOPACA show. Not only did she stand proudly at the top of her class, she went on to take the Color Champion for the light class. That was a win out of 35 animals! The Babe also has an amazing Silver Gray boy on the ground named Tamerlane (see link below). This young male just took the Blue Ribbon at the Maryland Show - Spring 2006. These ones are a little young to show just yet -- but come fall of 2006, they will be crashing the gates of the big shows. They are Ellie May and RosaCoyo. Be sure to check them out on their own pages. Breedings are limited, so reserve yours today.

AM Vindaloo

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 1015997DOB: 10/20/200321 yrs
Take a look at this girl's fiber stats! Vindaloo has extremely consistent crimp and character throughout her entire blanket including her top knot and belly. The style is super high frequency with a handle you'd be lucky to find in a white let alone a gray animal. The Hemingway traits run strong and deep with this incredible girl. Vindaloo delivered her first cria in the spring of 2006 and he it the ground running - hence the name - "Prefontaine". Here is Pre's show record: Color Champ - New Jersey Show 2007 Reserve Color Champion - Buckeye 2007 Reserve Color Champion - MIAF 2008 1st Place Halter - MIAF 2008 1st Place Produce of Dam - MIAF 2008 1st Place Halter - AOBA National Show 2007!!! - YOUNGEST IN THE CLASS 1st Place Halter - Ohio Alpacafest 2007 - Level V - 13 in class 1st Place New Jersey Show and Sale 2007 1st Place Bred and Owned Yearling Male New Jersey Show 2007 - even over the whites! 1st Place Halter - MIAF 2007 2nd Place Halter - Buckeye 2007 Level V - 15 in class 2nd Place Halter - Northern IL Alpaca Extravaganza 2007 1st Place - Produce of Dam - MIAF 2008 1st Place - Breeder's Best Three - MIAF 2008 1st Place Halter - Heartland Invitational 2008 1st Place Halter - Empire Extravaganza 2008 - 15 in the class! 1st Place Halter - OABA Alpacafest 2008 - 12 in the class! Her next cria, Benchmark's Vincent by Accoyo Babe, is an amazing light rose gray. Vinny has followed suite with an impressive show record and impressive style including COLOR CHAMP at the 2010 National AOBA show as a three year old breeding male. 2009 gave us Kersee - who also placed at the top of every class she entered. Kersee is the result of breeding Vidaloo to our boy - Arrow. 2010 is Wilma and she is a Dark Rose Gray -- with exceptional fineness and high frequency crimp. Wilma's sire is Yago and we were so impressed with Wilma, we bred Vindaloo back to Yago for her 2011 cria.

Description

AOBA Nationals 2010 COLOR CHAMPION at 3 years of age!! Vinny placed over males much younger and from some of the top farms in the country! The competition was tough at this show, but Vinny still triumphed over males much younger. The judge couldn't help but to comment on his continuing fineness. Uniformity, Consistency, Fineness... It is difficult to find such low SD and CV numbers. 2008: AFD 19.0; SD 3.1; CV 16.3; >30 1.0 - Spinning fineness 17.26 2009: AFD 19.8; SD 3.3; CV 16.5; >30 0.5 2010: AFD 21.7; SD 3.5; CV 16.0; >30 1.3 2013: AFD 23.0; SD 3.9; CV 17.1; Comfort Factor 96.5%; Spin Fineness 21.7!! All of this at 6 years of age!! 2014 : Afd 22.2; SD 3.7 ; CV 16.5 ; Comfort Factor 98.1 %; Spin Fineness 20.8 !! Getting better with age! 2015 : Afd 21.9; SD 3.3; CV 15.2; Comfort Factor 97.9%; Spin Fineness 20.3 at 8 years of age!! Breedings are being reserved now. A phone call and a small deposit will hold your booking! With stats like Vinny's it is easy to see how you can upgrade your grey breeding program today. Vinny is technically a Light Rose Grey as he has the Rose Grey down his neck, the cap on his head and brown and black fibers running all throughout his blanket. This makes Vinny a "stealth" Grey. To cover Grey and have the fineness, bundles and elite fleece is a rare find and just what Vinny offers. Vinny's Dam is none other than the MAPACA Grey Color Champion - Vindaloo! Her rich Rose Grey color and super fine fleece has complimented Accoyo The Babe well and helped to produce a high quality Herd Sire in Vinny. Vinny has been shown in Indefinite Light - meaning he is a light animal with dark fibers running through - when he was a Juvi and as a Yearling, he has shown in Beige. The judge could not say enough about him in the Beige class and actually complimented him more than any of his competition. She loved his balanced frame, large bone, coverage, typey head, high frequency crimp and tiny bundles. She explained to all that the reason he was standing in 5th (out of 15 animals at a level V show) was due to the dark fibers running throughout his fleece. The judge at Oaba Alpacafest commented on Vinny's "Substantial presence and Superb head style". She stated that he is a very "Robust male" and exhibits "Very soft handling and consistent fleece". Vinny has limited offspring on the ground but check out the results below. He is definitely passing on those fine fleece traits!! Vinny is co-owned with Benchmark Alpacas.
