With El Nino's recent passing, Michelangelo has become one of his most prepotent progeny! To lose such a legendary macho in his prime makes the genetics of his top offspring even more critical to a well thought out serious breeding program. Michelangelo has that extremely dense fine high amplitude crimp, and an incredibly even "peach colored" fawn fleece. In late 2005 Dr. Norm Evans did a skin biopsy of this spectacular male, and he had a follicle density of an amazing 115 follicles/mm! (Post-calibration results were adjusted to 107 follicles/mm) His S/P ratio was an astounding 13.28/1! These are still unheard of statistics, and he PASSES THEM ON!

Blueberry Wine is sired by Patagonia’s Quijote, and grandsired by the infamous Danko..one of the top grey lineages of all time. Quijote is owned by Canzelle Alpacas in California, and one of the things we treasure about this girl is her genetics that are far from the “same old Midwestern genetics”. A proven DSG dam with a champion full sibling, she has great stature, soft fleece and a great producer. Her 2011 cria, Bordeaux, is a medium brown male, sired by Leonardo. He is a top quality male, and took blue at an early spring show this year. She was bred to Accoyo Michelangelo and had a spectacular rose grey half Accoyo offspring earlier this spring! Michelangelo has done a great job for us producing top quality greys, and this should be no exception. She will be showing in our fall show string! Wine's last year cria is a Blue Ribbon winning male that we have chosen to keep, sired by our own Accoyo Leonardo! She is now rebred to the Michelangelo for a repeat performance.
