After much deliberation we have decided to put BlackBeard up FOR SALE! BlackBeard is an absolutely stunning true black son of the infamous Captain Morgan. His fiber is extremely dense and lustrous and the color, as black as coal. BlackBeard has a very gentle demeanor that is so welcoming in a breeding male. We now have a few of his sons that we would like to get into our breeding program so it is time for BlackBeard to go to another home were he can do the work he loves so much. He has produced some awesome offspring in all colors, even grey! Looking for black genetics with an awesome bloodline. It's right here! His cria have been outstanding. We have added pictures of 5 of his Ribbon winning offspring, 3 of which where also Reserve Color Champions. BlackBeard is currently by Azzura Farms Alpacas in Narrandera NSW Australia .

Description

Arlo is another of our BlackBeard offspring. You don't always expect to get exceptional whites out of your black herd sires but BlackBeard seems to just through beautiful offspring in every color. Arlo's full brother Bo Jangles won Reserve Champion in the 2009 MABA Celebration Alpaca Show and on November 13 & 14th Arlo gets his shot at it. He is entered in the Maryland Classic and we tried something a little different with Arlo than we've ever done before. We sheared him at three weeks old. Most suris are not shorn at that age and it is doubtful that any of the others in his class will be showing with a previously shorn fleece. So..... we'll keep our fingers crossed and see what happens. Here is what happened at the Maryland Classic: Arlo won 1st Place. We love to see a previously shorn suri win against one that has never been shorn it tells us that we don't have to make our suris suffer in the summer heat anymore! Unfortunately there were not enough suris at the show for a Championship, maybe next time.
