Description
I just checked out how Lukas' regrowth is coming in and I can tell you it gave me the giggles. His fleece is incredible! Ultra bright and ultra crimpy, but the handle and fineness is just out of this world. His density is also wonderful! I am usually a breeder of white, and prefer breeding my colors to white, but when Lukas came around that changed my tune. If I was going to have a very dark colored male, I wanted him to be a male that can compete and beat out the best whites. Lukas was it. There was never a doubt in my mind whether or not I should buy this male. He was always the number 1 colored male in my books. I want to thank Penny Holbrook of Black hills Alpacas for giving me the opportunity to add Lukas to my herdsire row. I could not have asked for a more outstanding male. Fineness and uniformity of micron between secondaries and primaries are my goal and boy does this stud have it(and in dark brown to boot!).
2013:
AFD: 15.5
SD: 2.9
CV 18.6%
Comfort Factor: 99.6%
Spin fineness: 14.7

[3rd] alpacapalooza! The judge said he had the finest fleece in the class with the best handle. She also said the uniformity of micron, crimp, and brightness were very, very nice. The boys ahead of him were much larger with a very macho look and slightly more density which ultimately won the judge over.

[1st] Caba Classic! He had some tough competition! Kristin Buhrman Called him the total package. She loved the fineness, density, and organization to his fiber. She also loved his perfect square frame.
