Dr. Jeri Booher writes: The genes of Hemingway are very evident in Valedar, and he is very close to being the splitting image of his grandsire. He is one of the densest juveniles to ever be produced from TIMBERLAND ALPACAS, and at five years of age, retains a fleece micron count of 19. Valedar's crias are doing very well in the show ring, and exhibit that wonderful Hemiaccoyo™ fleece with locks dividing up into tiny bundles, lots of brightness, crimp and fineness. A Valedar daughter was recently the highest selling female at the Parade of Champions Auction at $80,000. Despite his white color, Valedar does possess the colored genetics to throw color in his progeny, especially when bred to a colored female. Valedar very proudly wears the designation as one of the main foundation herdsires for Timberland Alpacas.
VALEDAR WILL PERMANENTLY RESIDE IN INDIANA.

Timberland values Valedar's cria so highly, that the majority of his female cria have been integrated into their highly successful breeding program. In the 2007 Herdsire Edition (Page 153) of Alpacas Magazine, Timberland states: "Victor's Valedar has always imparted fineness to his offspring, and at eight years old, still boasts a 21-micron, high-frequency fleece. The female offspring out of Valedar make great foundation females because of their fineness, have the ability to produce a very high frequency crimp, even if bred to herd sires that show a wide variety of crimp styles. Timberland has rarely sold its Valedar females, and has retained most of them as its foundation stock." He is a premier son of Victor (deceased) and will be available for LIMITED (10) outside breedings.

Kayleigh is growing into a VERY beautiful young lady. She is already as large as her mother, and continues to develop nicely. Her fleece is well organized and displays a 'crinkle cut french fry' style crimp and frequency. She is already exhibiting signs of wanting to breed, but will be held off until after the spring show season. We are starting to look for her first mate at this time. 04/26/11 -- Kayleigh delivered a beautiful white girl sired by Victor's Valedar (Valedar's Snow White 1101). 08/08/13 -- Kayleigh delivered a beautiful Med Fawn male sired by Alpine Fiber's Firestorm. 05/03/17 -- Kayleigh delivered a handsome white male this morning sired by Stillmeadow Farm's Wiseman. 07/05/19 -- Kayleigh delivered a beautiful beige male this morning sired by Snowmass Arch Angel XX.

Description

Snowy is a beautiful white girl with a highly organized fleece that exhibits the following: - extreme brightness - High frequency/low amplitude crimp - 20 micron fleece at 4 yo - long staple - soft handle We try to do at least one outside breeding each year to provide an influx of 'outside' blood to our herd. At the POC last year, we looked at a HemiAccoyo X Defiance cross and were hooked. I spoke with Lynn and decided to breed to her magnificent male. We wanted to send one of our best whites, so we sent Snowy. She is a linebred HemiAccoyo (specifically Victor and Hemingway), that should cross extremely well with Defiance. 9/27/17 -- Snowy delivered a beautiful Defiance daughter this morning. 7/20/19 -- Snowy delivered a beautiful Arch Angel son early this morning.
