Arch Angel is new to Peaceful Heart Alpacas. He is a Full Peruvian, Snowmass-bred, Bueno grandson. Son of the famous Rose Gray herdsire, Snowmass Casanova and PPPeruvian Halo, Angel is a large boned, impressive alpaca with correct conformation and bite. He has passed on his incredible staple length and fine fiber to his offspring. All his cria are large, heavy boned and beautifully balanced with straight legs and backs. His 2006 cria out of AHR Francesca (also a new addition to the farm) was the Reserve Color Champion at the 2006 VAOBA Expo. We repeated this breeding and are thrilled with the results. Peaceful Heart´s Gabriel has the same lovely color, dense fleece and great conformation of his sire. Call today to schedule a time to come see Arch Angel and his offspring Gabriel today. Reserve your breeding with Arch Angel for a 2012 cria.

Dam: Peaceful Heart's Ima Joy

Blue Ribbon Alpaca!

Peaceful Heart's Ima Joy

HuacayaBred (Female)White, Light Brown
AOA# 30815025DOB: 6/26/200717 yrs
Ima Joy’s name fits her perfectly. She is a joy to be around and gives kisses freely. Ima’s fleece has lovely small brown spots throughout, with a couple of larger spots to match her pretty face. As her fleece grows out, they get harder to see, but they are there when you shear. Ima’s fleece is also a joy to work with. She has won first place ribbons at the 2008 VAOBA Spin-Off, 2009 AOBA National Spin-Off and 2010 VAOBA Spin-Off. In the 2013 EPD calculations, Ima Joy (and her daughter) ranked in the top 1% of alpacas in percent medullation. Ima gave birth to her first cria in May 2010. Her son Joyful Joyful is a beauty and sold soon after he was weaned. His first shearing at 11 months of age had an average fiber diameter of 16.8 microns! Ima proved herself to be a great mother, with plenty of milk. Her 2011 female cria, Angelica, out of Snowmass Casanova's Arch Angel is a beauty in white. Ima has always been a favorite of the farm, but she truly proved her worth that year, taking on an orphan cria at 6 weeks of age and nursing he and Angelica successfully until they were weaned. All while maintaining good weight gain for both crias and holding her weight steady. Ima Joy delivered a gorgeous boy in October 2013 out of our fabulous two time Champion, Peruvian Maximus. Dante has dense soft fleece, in beautiful bundles of soft, beige. We were so happy with this adorable boy, that we repeated the breeding for fall 2014 and got a gorgeous multicolor male.

Service Sire: FWD Amaro Khan

FWD Amaro Khan

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Rose Grey
AOA# 30968653DOB: 12/11/200816 yrs
Wooly head and stunning fleece in dark rose grey, full Peruvian – out of The Aga Khan! Amaro Khan's bloodlines are amazing. He is full brother to the impressive Champion Kubla Khan who lived at our farm in 2012 and gave us four amazing crias in 2013. His half sister Khan's Cocoabean is also a Champion & Reserve Champion. All three are dark rosegray and look almost identical. We have been so impressed with this bloodline that we added not only Amaro, but Cocoabean to our herd in late 2013. We can't wait to start seeing our first Amaro crias in 2015. Amaro’s sire “The Aga Khan” is an 11 time Championship winner and 5 time Get-of-Sire winner. He is descended from Shere Khan possibly the most famous herdsire in Peru, who sired the Vendagor/Capac line. The Aga Khan has many award winning offspring who continue his legacy of success, including Amaro Khan who won Reserve Color Champion at the 2010 National Show competing against silver grays, and Blue Ridge Color Champion the same year. Amaro's rich color comes from his maternal side. His Dam’s sire is a TB and his grandsire is an award winning Dark Silver Grey. He is even more beautiful than his full brother! So far, Amaro has 4 registered crias in colors from Dark Fawn to True Black.

Description

Angelica is a beautiful white female who combines the great genetics of Bueno and Don Juan, lovely fleece and a sweet temperament. She has a solid frame and very correct conformation. Angelica’s mother is a multiple blue ribbon winner (and the sweetest alpaca on our farm) and her sire is a proven producer of champions. Angelica and her mother were both ranked in the top 1% of the ARI EPD program for their lack of percentage of medulated fibers, which enhances the softness of their lovely yarns. We have bred Angelica to our 3X Champion/Reserve Champion Amaro Khan for a 2015 cria, and expect a winner. ==== We are offering some very special prices right now, with 14 of our alpaca girls listed at $2,000 to $3,000 each.  Click on the link to see our Complete Sales List - Female Alpacas 2014.  We have an incredible variety of alpacas in color, age, and genetic lines.  The girls range in age from 11 months to 10 years, including two mamas with female crias by their side (both born in June).  We like to keep our farm between 40 and 50 alpacas so our family can easily manage the farm and store, we currently have 58 alpacas on our farm with more due this fall, so we are offering this special sale to help us get back down to our right size.  Take advantage of these great deals.
