Fox is going on 17 and acts like he's 10. If you want better fineness EPDs and uniform, fine, pigmented gray fleeces with lots of crimps per inch and essentially no guard hair, he's the one! This line produces lingering 13 to 19 micron pigmented gray fleeces...consistently. Fox's first five fleeces were combined into one lot to make yarn at Heart and Soul and they commented on the uniformity of the lot. Thanks to his sire, Royal Bronze, Fox is a master at overall uniformity, removing guard hair and fining down fleeces and adding more crimps per inch, good staple length, along with deep and vivid colors. He's a SILVER GRAY, SNOWMASS BRED, AOBA NATIONAL COMPOSITE CHAMPION and well proven to produce healthy, correct, typey progeny! He is highly ranked for other traits too. He virtually removes all guard hair, including belly and bib. We attribute this amazing ability to his sire, Snowmass Royal Bronze, who is recognized by Julie Skinner as having recognized as having strong vicuna traits. Density? He has royal fine daughters (see Dream Catcher) with 4+ pound tui blankets and SDs in the 3s. Character? Gray daughter, Mellona, is 14.5 afd, 3.5 cv; 59 curve (not a typo) @ 21 mos. and then a 63 curve the next year! Uniformity? Hardly anything to skirt out of his progeny's fleeces. Offspring have very consistent, uniform and high yielding fleeces...Little to no skirting is needed for these big blanket fleeces. Primary and secondary fibers are very similar, even across colors in the gray fleeces, most of which are pigmented silver grays. In every offspring you will see higher frequency & amplitude crimp. ZERO to minimal guard hair...no matter the dam or color of the cria. You'll likely never see any guard hair on the belly of a Fox offspring. Soundness and health, correct phenotype, conformation and movement. Even dispositions and very intelligent...and even a few silly personalities. Certified Sorted graded Fox's 3 y.o. champion for "WORSTED applications". No W, LF or MF crias and no blue eyes. -Gray dtr, Kristiana (sold at AOBA auction): EPDs 2% fineness and placed: RC, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th; bought her back in 2024. -Gray son (Irish Meadows) - 1st Futurity. -Black dtr. (Irish Meadows) produced a black Champion son by Jacob Black. -Gray dtr. Rayna (Sold to Dusk Till Dawn Alpacas at AOBA auction for $16k)- 1st @ Alpacapalooza 2012; RC/2nd GMAF. -Gray dtr. Silver Truffles - Purchased by Alpaca Country Estates. Other grandkids are winning ribbons too.

Vee continues to show excellently, year after year, and we couldn't be prouder of her! Hailing from the famous lines of Aussie Rockford, Felix, and Khasino (17 micron at 2.5 years!), it's no surprise Vee has done so well in the ring. She sports a fleece that is unbelievably consistent, with an even staple around 5 1/2 inches, consistent architecture, and a consistent micron that gives her fleece a dreamy handle. When Vee was born, she was a rich seal-brown color. As she grew older, she began to gray up, first in her neck, and eventually into her blanket, though sparsely. At the moment, she still places as a solid True Black at shows, though we expect her gray to become more prominent with time, like her mother did. Vee also has the same solid, upright carriage and strong, straight legs both her parents have. Her bite is perfect, and she has a very short muzzle with a wide jaw which makes for a typey, pleasing head. Vee sheared a very heavy blanket last year, with an annualized weight of 2.9 lbs. This, as a cria? UPDATE Vee delivered her first cria, a handsome, healthy black boy, with absolutely no issues, and is putting 1/2-1 pound on him A DAY. She is attentive, milks heavily, and has a very vigorous, absolutely GORGEOUS little boy we're naming FRACRS Amante RReale. Amante is absolutely stunning; he has dense, fine, bright black fiber down to his toes, and the best part? The crimp will TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY!! Out of our ribbon-winning, high-quality Vee and AOBA NATIONAL GRAY CHAMPION RRoyal Fox, we expect nothing less! Whether or not he will be included in Vee's sale depends on when we're contacted... Don't want too long, Amante is going to be worth his weight in gold!

Description

Here is a high-quality, stunning cria who is sure to grow into a striking herdsire one day. Out of two ribbon-winning parents, it's hardly a surprise that Amante is such a nice animal! FLEECE: Amante displays tight, bundled, organized crimp he inherited from his sire that forms into tiny corkscrews and is consistent from his neck down to his knees. He also got his mother's extreme brightness ~ his fleece glows when you part it! Amante also has exceptional handle and fineness -- I grab him at least two times a day just to feel his amazing fiber. And to round him out, he has also inherited both his dam and sire's density, with a fleece that is hard to push your fingers through already. CONFORMATION: Amante has straight legs and topline from both parents, straight spear-shaped ears, a nice short muzzle from mom and pleasing head shape, fully-fibered face/legs from both parents, and a nice clean bite. In addition he's a bit of a chunky boy -- he has the substance and solid feel you like to see in your future herdsires! LINEAGE: Amante's dam is our own FRACRS Stella Velluta, who has won one 3rd place ribbon and two 4th place ribbons in her short show career. Vee was sired by an Aussie Rockford silver-gray son, and out of our dam SRR'S Chiara Stella, who was sired by Khasino, who maintained a fine micron into old age. We own Amante's dam, two aunts, and his granddam, and they have all shown extreme attentiveness toward their crias and excellent mothering abilities. Chiara adopted a cria at one point, and Vee nursed both Amante and the other girl that was born at the same time, Sibylla. Vee has dense, soft black fleece that is incredibly consistent and has a fine, tight crimp style. Vee has consistently ribboned in classes where she was the darkest (by far!) girl, and has beat out even a Rebel granddaughter! Amante's sire is Snowmass RRoyal Fox, an AOBA national Grey Color Champion who has maintained an AFD of 17 microns for his first THREE YEARS!! This in addition to straight, excellent conformation, tight crimp, and extreme density? Only from Snowmass! Amante is a stunning animal and the pinnacle of my breeding program, but college forces us to sell! Get him now!!
