........... RETIRED-REFERENCE ONLY........... Anjelica is one of our original foundation females from the Sollocata Region of Peru. We selected her from the 1995 Peruvian importation in large part for her handsome head and lovely 19 micron AFD fawn colored fleece (any color other than white was rare during those early Peruvian importations!) At eleven years old her fiber still averaged 24.4 microns! Anjelica has given us many wonderful crias. She has been a dependable and attentive mother to each one. Her crias have been nice, typey alpacas with excellent conformation and fine, dense fleeces with high frequency crimp. Her 2009 cria, Avalon's Peruvian Rico, will probably be her last. We have decided to allow some of our older females who have produced so well for us over the past 14 years to live out the rest of their lives here with us in retirement.
