Compadre's Creme Brulee

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Brown
AOA# 850766DOB: 8/8/200321 yrs
Creme Brulee is a very dense and crimpy brown male with great conformation and great genes. He is a multiple ribbon winner as well. His dam is a Peruvian Altiplano Gold daughter with superb density. His sire is an award winning sire at Alpacas de la Patagonia and has sired many ribbon winners! We have no doubt that Creme Brulee will follow in his father's footsteps. Come see him today! Update January 2011: Creme Brulee is now proven having sired two very nice daughters here on our farm. He is 2 for 2 for girls so far! Creme's price has been reduced due to a knee injury. He is still capable of breeding, although we would prefer not to add any more stress to his injury. He will require ongoing treatment with anti inflammatory medication for arthritis as he gets older. He will only be sold to someone willing to provide him with appropriate medical care and a loving retirement home. December 2014 -- Sadly, Creme passed away this year. We will leave his information up on the site under our foundation herd as a reference sire for his offspring.

Dam: Imlay

Best Mom Ever

Imlay

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Brown, Dark Rose Grey, Bay Black
AOA# 812692DOB: 3/1/199925 yrs
Imlay is a strong proven female who has birthed 9 cria’s. She is healthy, a great mom, with plenty of milk and has delivered 3 healthy cria’s unassisted here on our farm. She is on the smaller side, very gentle and one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. All of her cria’s born here with us have inherited her gentle nature and are among the easiest to handle in the herd. She is truly a no-drama mama! She is registered as a dark brown but is actually a dark rose gray once you open up her fiber. She is full Chilean with silver grey on her sire's side and her 2008 cria is also a modern rose gray. Imlay is older and her fiber isn’t what it used to be, but is holding well for her age and has been graded to a WL4-WL5 for the 2008-2011 clips. We currently own two of Imlay’s daughters and two sons, and a granddaughter so it’s time to start diversifying some of our genetics. Imlay still has a few good breeding years left, and she really wants to be a mom again after taking some time off. She was bred this year to MaRS Katoomba with a positive ultrasound and we can't wait to see Katoomba's first cria's hit the ground in 2013. Update: Imlay gave birth to an amazing rose gray male cria on 7/12/13. He is the spitting image of his father and we'd love to keep him; however we do have his father and many of his siblings here on the farm so we will consider a package deal including her 2013 male cria. She has not yet been rebred as we'd like to get some weight back on her as she's putting all of her effort into raising a gorgeous cria. 2016 -- We have decided to allow Imlay to retire from our breeding program as we have many of her offspring in our herd and she deserves to take a break. We have reduced her price to offer her as an companion or fiber animal with a "retirement" home in mind. As she's getting older, and her last cria took a lot out of her, she will not be sold with breeding rights. This girl deserves to retire in style and enjoy the rest of her life just relaxing. Sadly, Imlay passed away late in 2016. We will leave her information up for reference purposes.

Service Sire: MARS KATOOMBA

MARS KATOOMBA

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Rose Grey
AOA# 31681889DOB: 6/21/200915 yrs
Gray genetics are always coveted, and Katoomba has them on both sides of his registration. His sire, MaRS Taxco, is an award winning silver gray son of Patagonia's Drake, son of Danko. Drake passed away a couple of years ago making his genetics limited in supply. Katoomba's dam, LRA Chasse, has gray on her dam's side. Talk about a solid young male, Katoomba was shorn at the age of 2 1/2 months and he weighed in at 54 pounds! He is structurally solid with heavy bone. His bite is correct, and his presence is noticed immediately. His fleece is very consistent with defined crimp coming in stronger with age as would be expected. And the coverage couldn't be better! There is very little in the way of spots on his entire fleece, just a beautiful light rose gray, almost lavender! Katoomba began his breeding career on our farm and has so far produced 3 daughters and 4 sons - 2 of the boys have his lavender gray color!

Excellent Mom

Description

Penny is a very nice girl sired by our Reserve Color Champion, MSA Compadre's Creme Brulee. She has very dense medium fawn fleece, with some gray around her face. She is easy to handle, just an overall friendly well adjusted girl. Act soon if you would like to choose her next service sire! Her mother is an all star mom with plenty of milk and troublefree births, and Penny has carried on in that tradition. Penny also received her mother's excellent temperament so we know she will pass on what we call the "Imlay Chill Factor" to her offspring. Penny is a complete doll, we love her to death but she is related to many of our herd. She will make a great foundation female for any farm with her genetics and amazing temperament. Nothing bother's this girl....she just rolls with it. Or in it, if you have a nice dust pile! Penny was bred to our extremely fine herdsire, Kane Ebony for a 2013 cria. Her temperament, bone structure and very dense fleece will be a nice match with Kane's lingering fineness and we are proud of the result! Kane and Penny produced a gorgeous dark rose gray boy, who we are currently calling BB. For 2014, Penny gave us a gorgeous little girl from Katoomba. She looks just like her brother, BB! Penny is available for sale, once her 2014 cria has been weaned. Her purchase price includes one breeding to any of our fully owned herdsires if confirmed pregnant at time of sale or two included breedings if purchased prior to breeding. She produces very dense, high volume fiber of average quality. We currently have both her 2013 and 2014 offspring onsite, and the fiber quality on her offspring is excellent!
