Lightning and Thunder is a prime example of the perfect mix of national origins. He has strength and character of lock from his Peruvian ancestors and amazing luster from the Chilean and Bolivian. Thunder is a surprising silver grey with tight pencil locks out of a beige dam. He placed first in his first time out and has amazing presence. When first born, it was thought he was fawn, but very soon the silver lining appeared. The grey might have been expected, as he has true black on both sides of his pedigree as well as both white and fawn. He echoes the grey freckles of his dam, and he has some brown spots. LT has remarkable lock definition and density, a gift from his sire. Sire Coming Tornado, 50% Chilean and 50% Peruvian, is the Medium Brown Color Champion son of the great Diablo R809924. Diablo, True Black, is a striking and gorgeous male with huge presence. He catches everyone's attention. It is hard to beat his luster, density, and handle on any alpaca let alone a black! And he is a True Black, not tipped brown. His cria look amazing: maroons, greys, blacks and browns! Coming Tornado's grandsire is the famous Peruvian Aureo G236 (Alianza). Aureo is famous for his gorgeous high-selling cria that set price records. Coming Tornado lives up to his name. He had shine and locks as soon as he was dry. He started slow in the show ring, but finished strongly with a Color Championship. His third fleece is even stronger and, if possible, more lustrous than his second, which topped his cria coat. Underneath it all, Tornado has strong legs, beautiful proportions and correct bite: the complete package. Tornado's Micron count in 2005: 23.2 at 2 years; comfort factor 92%. His shearing weight in 2005 for his first shearing was 7.4 lbs. Lightning and Thunder's dam MSR Calipso is 50% Peruvian and 50% Bolivian. Calipso really delivers the goods. Her first two crias capture the spirit of their sires. She has sweeping pencil locks, a trait her offspring show. The comfort factor of her fleece is 99.3%. Her first cria had a 17.8 micron count at 19 months. Calipso's micron count was 18.3 at 4 years old in 2005. Lightning and Thunder himself had a micron count of 18.81 in 2008. Calipso's sire is the Dark Silver Grey, Full Peruvian 4Peruvian Olajuwon 6076. He was not used much by his prior owners, but he has produced outstanding silver/grey and appaloosa colored cria with a soft silky "hand" and consistent suri lock structure. OJ was the first suri male picked in the 1996 4P Peruvian importation for a reason. He's sire and grandsire to many greats, such as Champion Herdsire Maserati. Calipso's dam is GCSA Provence out of Acero Marka's Pedesou & Duracell. Sisters Provence and Silky both placed at AOBA and sister Ruby is a beautiful maroon that sold at the 2003 AOBA Auction for $21,500 with color champions before she was a year old. We are very excited to have LT as our suri herdsire for the Fall 2012.

Lullaby caught my eye and I just had to have her. She has lock and luster, regal carriage and great conformation. She is very maternal taking care of the whole herd, protecting others' cria and alerts me if there is any danger in the field. She stands guard of lambs being born ... she's just a beauty inside and out. I just know she'll be a great mother. We are excited to expect her first cria in the Fall of 2012 out of our grey herdsire Lightning and Thunder. Her dam Lucie is an Acero Marka's import. She's a Full Bolivian beauty with incredibly soft and shimmery fleece. She's been a great mother and producer. She goes way back in a few of my suri girls' pedigrees. But Lucie is Lullaby's mother. She had her at 15 years old. Lullaby's sire HHSF Peruvian Caviar is a 3rd generation true black Suri herdsire out of Peruvian Accoyo Hershey. Caviar is a Grand Champion's Son, as Hershey took home 1st Place at AOBA's National Show along with many more firsts at well respected and Nationally known shows. Hershey certainly is impressive as well as being the only 1/2 Accoyo 1/2 Allianza True Black operating Herdsire in the United States. Caviar's show record includes 1st Place AOBA Sourtheast PA Show, 1st Place 2003 Ohio Alpaca Fest, and 1st place 2004 Kentucky Classic. Caviar's genetics go back to many greats as well as HHSF Peruvian Accoyo Hershey. Hershey's sire is the first fawn Peruvian born in the US, Pure Alianza Mister Lothario. Hershey's dam is Accoyo Peruvian Yodel. The next generation back includes Pure Alianza Peruvian Sparkle W945; Accoyo Durazno PPeruvian Uribe; and MF Top Producer & Full Accoyo PPeruvian Yolanda. A little more on Hershey's Grandsire and Caviar's Great Grandsire Full Accoyo PPeruvian Uribe G4559. Uribe was a Medium Fawn premier import from Don Julio Barreda of the Estancia Accoyo in Peru. This top medium to dark fawn male is very rare in color. His genetic strength is exhibited in his offspring producing multiple champions over the years. He certainly passed along his temperament, size, fineness with extreme density, and his beautiful dark fawn color. Uribe was the winner of the prestigious "Get of Sire" at the 1997 AOBA National Conference. His bloodlines have been the foundation for colored full Accoyos in the US. He has produced 138 crias, ALL SURI, and represents the homozygous suri. There's a reason Peruvian Durazno (aka PPeruvian Uribe) was the #1 pick at the 1994 Peruvian Elite sale. Caviar's dam 6Peruvian Muzzy is a Medium Brown 100% Belen Peruvian. In the 6 Peruvian Imports Muzzy was one of the most beautiful, stringy colored Suri alpacas. Caviar himself has tight, shiney locks with some of the greatest twists ever seen. Unbelievably outstanding structured locks blanket his coat; uniform throughout. Caviar has proven to be a great herdsire with phenomenal cria on the ground. He is a consistent producer and I am happy to have his stamp on more than one of my suris.
