Description

Chocoletta Bay is perhaps the only alpaca who’s presence rivals our farm’s photo starlet, Mile Peruvian Kusi. Her pictures say it all. She is statuesque and regal with striking dark points and a warm caramel color. Even when in a pen with the best of our showstring, Chocoletta puts herself front and center and stands poised for the camera as if stating “I’m a knockout and I know it.” And she is. Even a watchmaker couldn’t find fault with her confirmation. She is straight with strong bone, coverage ear tip to toenail, and elegantly proportioned. Her fiber is like touching cashmere and the dense locks has to be pushed aside to shoe the brightness and crimp on the inside. We cannot wait for her second fleece to come in and to have her enter the show ring. Chocoletta’s sire is multi-champion Mile High Peerless Bay. He has fathered many beautiful offspring that are making a name for themselves in the ring including, Mile High Ruby’s Jewel (Chocoletta's full sister) and Peerless Bay’s Studley Do Right. Peerless has that characteristic type crimp which is the legacy of his award-winning father LB Peruvian Castano Bay (Disappearing Creek Alpaca Ranch). Peerless couples this crimp with a density and extreme fineness that is incredibly hard to achieve in the same alpaca. But he’s done it! This male is the entire package. Chocoletta’s dam is Mile High Ruby Dee, one of our favorite black foundation females and half-sister to Mile High’s Deacon Grey, a grey Futurity champion that sold for $90,000. Chocoletta has the world going from her. She has the best color genetics that our herd has to offer. And her genes are delivering on their potential. When she walks by visitors at our ranch they go quiet, stare, and then ask who she is. This girl is a model among alpacas. She has all the ability to deliver colored offspring that can walk tall among the elite.
