The bread and butter of an alpaca farm is a strong white program and to achieve that you need a white male so exceptional that he can improve on the some of the finest fleece that a huacaya can possess. Our fawn herdsire, El Nino’s Golden Legend, has gotten a lot of attention at our farm, but we knew that our light color program would not have legs unless we had a white male that was Legend’s equal. This brought about the creation of Mile High Peruvian Bandimere. This is a male that we bred and raised with the intention of him being the next premiere white herdsire for our farm. We have always had strong fawn herdsires, but often in looking to existing white males outside of our program we had trouble finding something that had all the characteristics that we wanted. So, we selected the strongest male and female breeding pair that we could think of and literally hoped for a white male. Bandimere’s sire is Brilliance of Peru (owned by Golden Spirit Alpaca Ranch). We saw this male standing in his stall at a show and were awestruck. When we got our hands on his crimpy, bright and fine fleece, awe turned to love. We wanted our own in white. We knew who daddy was going to be so all we had to do was select mom. We wanted a female with the coverage and substance of bone to add to Brilliance’s wonderful fleece. This led us to First Star Delight, a striking white that speaks for herself in her pictures. She has produced blue-ribbon winners in white and dark as proven by Peerless Bay’s Studley Do Right and Chocolate Dovey. We matched this male and female for their strengths and kept our fingers crossed. We were blessed with a white male that was a head-turner from day one. As he matured his achievements in the ring proved us right. He has won 2 color and 3 reserve-championships and 7 blue ribbons. He is the sire of the strongest whites in our show string including blue ribbon winners Mile High Lady Antebellum and Mile High Centurion. His light fawn male, Mile High Bandimere’s Murano, is leading our fawn crop in blue ribbons this year. He is also the sire of Mile High Bandimere’s Daytona, a dark brown that we cannot wait to get into the show ring with his second fleece. This little guy has got a fleece from his father that is bright and crimpy and which we have a hard time believing can be possessed by a dark animal. We gave him a bath just to check. If you want a white male that has the scope to build your white program and the foundation of your farm name; Bandimere is it. Even for breeders that have the best of white females, Bandimere’s quality is all encompassing. We bred this male to be the total package so that he would be able to improve the offspring of any female. White alpacas are a force unto themselves, and we believe this guy is one of the best out there. A tremendous Champion Producer for us!!

River Valley Peruvian Providence

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 838259DOB: 9/14/200222 yrs
We purchased Providence at breeding age and immediately put her in our program. She was never shown by her previous owner. River Valley Providence has proven to be a very reliable producer of show quality and winning offspring! She is one fantastic dam! She is the dam of multiple champion Mile High Luxor, who we sold and is now a proven herdsire. Her son, Mile High P. Belligio was also sold and he too is proven. All of her offspring are breeding and show quality. We give much of her credit to the Royal Fawn line. It sure works for us! On 9-6-11 Providence delivered a stunning male sired by Mile High Bandimere. We named him Mile High Murano. He will walk in the footprints of his Champion brothers, we are certain. We have rebred Providence to our 2011 Judges Choice and Multible White Male Color Champion, Mile High Toulouse-Lautrec. THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE BREEDING, I cannot believe her price, but we are ready to sell and move into a new alpaca business plan. You do not want to pass on Providence. HER OFFSPRING SELL, see photos on right.

Description

This is a male that is ahead of the curve. Every successful breeding program requires a male that is a standout in quality among the major population of alpacas. It is what enables him to improve upon any female he breeds to. This is the standard that we try to achieve in our young males and it is fully realized in Mile High Peruvian Murano. If a sculptor were to take the dimensions of a conformationally faultless alpaca, Murano would be the standard of measurement. He is straight and proportioned as though built with the care of a watchmaker. But on this perfect frame is a fawn fleece with fiber that gathers in popcorn-like micro bundles and is bright! These bundles of fiber nearly spring open they are so abound with tight crimp. When opening his fleece for the first time people pause for a moment and whisper “wow.” It’s happened more than once. Murano’s sire is Mile High Peruvian Bandimere, the male we created to be out premier white stud. In Bandimere we were able to achieve that combination of fineness, density, and brightness that is a breeder’s dream to culminate all into one. Murano is one of his first offspring and we are willing to stake his father’s reputation on this young male. His dam is River Valley Peruvian Providence and mother of multiple champions such as Mile High Peruvian Luxor and Mile High Fantasia. Her beautiful proportions are where Murano gets his stately presence. Murano has grown into himself beautifully and is in his prime and ready for the show circuit. He will immediately build himself a show record that is a proud addition to any pedigree. And soon this male will be matured and ready to share his exceptional traits with the next generation.
