Midnight Star is the splashy black and white daughter of Midnight Rose and Diamonte, both of whom are descended from PVA foundation royalty. Just like her mother, she possesses the same good mothering qualities. Her sire, Diamonte of PVA, is a 9-time Color Champion and sire of no less than 16 Color and Reserve Color Champions. Midnight Star's first cria, Midnight Eclipse of PVA, was born in October of 2010. He is a marvelous true black, tall and well built, with curls all over his face and legs. We showed him in late fall of 2011 at both Alpacamania and Alpaca Breeders Invitational here in Oregon. Midnight Eclipse garnered a 2nd at Alpacamania, a 1st at ABI, and then in the spring of 2012 we showed and sold him at the SW Regional Alpaca Show in Arizona. Midnight Star's second cria is a carbon copy of Midnight Eclipse. Named Balboa's Midnight Special, he has managed to scoop up 4 Color Championships in 2013, at the IAO, The Futurity, MAPACA Jubilee, and CABA Classic. Needless to say, we are more than pleased that Midnight Star is expecting her fourth cria (also by Balboa) in August 2014!
