Melody Lane Peruvian Mandolin

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 30531642DOB: 10/4/200717 yrs
This year Mandolin produced a total weight of 7.6 pounds of fleece. She also became a grandmother in July from her sold daughter Bell who resides at Coffee Pot Alpacas. Melody Lane Peruvian Mandolin is 3/4 Accoyo and has fiber so dense that it is hard to dig your fingers into her blanket. Her fleece is still a tight crimp for a 7 year old female. A bright white she sports a brown heart on her right rear hip that signifies she can throw color. Daughter of PHA Accoyo Stratosphere, a well known male who needs no introduction has given Mandolin a lineage of great history and genetics. Proudly boasting names such as PPPeruvian Astillero (Peru), 4Peruvian Legacy (Peru), Mandolin has passed this on to her offspring. Daughter to Mystic Meadows Peruvian Mercedes, a phenominal female for her 12 years has loads of history and genetics and carries the stamp of a PPPeruvian Royal Fawn (Peru) granddaughter. Genetics also from such names as Scotts Royal Gold, 6Peruvian Lizbeth (Peru), CPeruvian Accoyo Amadeus (Peru), Peruvian Ophelia and CPeruvian Speranza (Peru). Melody Lane Mandolin along with Melody Lane Crescendo produced a female named Bell. With the combination of the density/tight crimp plus the softness/bold crimp and long staple length, Bell has folds down her neck and back that signify additional density as she matures and grows. At less than a year old she produced a staple length over 4 inches at time of shearing. Resembling her sire she is a solid medium fawn. Crimp flows through her entire body, tail and into her toes. Her personality is so gentle that she walks up to you waiting for kisses on her nose. BELL SOLD IN JUNE 2015. Mandolin is a superb mom with tons of milk and attention to her cria. Very protective but also weans her own babies when the time is right. A good birther and very healthy. Melody Lane Mandolin should carry on her breeding career with a farm that is serious about improving fiber from generation to generation. She is an asset to your breeding program. Like her brother Maestro, Mandolin is superb with kids and adults and loves the camera. This is a plus to her motherly resume. Free breeding offered to one of our herdsires at time of sale.
