Remington's Last Hurrah! is one-quarter Peruvian and three-quarters Chilean and is true black with bold crimp right to the skin. He was born June 3, 2006. He was brought into service in early 2008, with his first cria arrived in 2009. Remington's Last Hurrah! was the 26th, and final, off-spring of his sire, Remington of Redwoodridge. Remington's Last Hurrah! was named to honor his sire, Remington of Redwoodridge. Nine weeks after breeding to Remi's dam, Remington of Redwoodridge died at age 20. His sire was the first off-spring of SA Kerrington and SA Inca Pearl, two imports. Remington's Last Hurrah! has sired six cria, not all yet registered: * Summer 2009 - Lib-erty of Triple F (32326949), dark brown, Wilton, CA. * Jan 2, 2010 -- Remington's Gold Standard of NMA, medium fawn male. * Sept 4, 2010 -- A medium brown male for Rosewood Alpacas, Patterson, CA. * Sept 9, 2010 -- A medium fawn male for Rosewood Alpacas, Patterson, CA. * November 2010 -- A bay black female for Camanche Ranch Alpacas, Ione, CA. * July 22, 2011 -- A true black male to Maidenly Minx of New Moon, one of our dams. * August 22, 2011 -- A dark brown male to Sleeping Lady's Haida, one of our dams. He has also serviced three dams here for 2011 cria, with those dams due within the next couple of months. His dam's (SCFA Pixie Dust) lineage, Remington's Last Hurrah! is descended from Peruvian Hemingway's Protégé, Peruvian Hemingway G171, and The Goldsmith HST G466. Remi has sired the first cria born at our Elma, WA ranch (Remington's Gold Standard of NMA) and several cria at California ranches.

Hannah birthed a male Huacaya cria today (July 5th) at about 12:45 p.m. The cria is a pinto, looking just like mom. The cria was 20.1 lbs at birth. Sire of the cria is Helderberg Nevada. -------------------------------------------------- Hannah was born September 6, 2004. She is a pinto (white and medium brown). Hannah of Redwood Ridge is a medium sized, elegant dam who is a white and bay black pinto with teddy bear fringed ears. Her exceptionally fine, bright fleece has a truly elite hand and very long staple. She births her crias easily and at a good weight. Her Little girls (2007 and 2008) were both up and nursing within the hour and had easily doubled their weight by within their first month. Hannah's fleece is one of her best qualities: She has had the most lustrous fleece with the finest hand and longest staple of anyone on our farm. Her fleece has won ribbons both raw and spun. She has produced four cria for New Moon Alpacas - Rowan of NMA (May 2007, female), Golden Ion of NMA (June 2008, female), Remington's Gold Standard of New Moon (January 2010, male), and a male cria (not yet registered) on July 4th, 2011. Her sire is Derwydd Peruvian Huiyari. Her sire's lineage is the import, 4Peruvian Starr Khan 6003. Hannah's dam is Phoebe of Redwood Ridge. From her dam, her lineage includes Justice of Redwood Ridge, The Goldsmith HST G460, and Woz.

Description

This young male was born January 2, 2010, the first alpaca born at our Western Washington ranch. He is the first cria born to his sire, Remington's Last Hurrah!. His sire's lineage includes SA Kerrington, Peruvian Hemingways Protege, Peruvian Hemingway G171, and SA Trinidad. His dam is Hannah of Redwood Ridge. His dam's lineage includes 4Peruvian Starr Khan 6003, The Goldsmith HST G466, and Justice of Redwood Ridge. He is medium fawn with excellent fleece.
