Prime Time, or "Pete" as we call him is exceptional in all aspects, and he's out of one of the great true blacks, Sudden Impact. He has great luster, lock definition, conformation and personality. He is so friendly and easy going, he is the one we normally catch for hands on with visitors. His fiber is also "slick" and cleans out very easily, very little vegetation sticks and hardly any matting. We used him ourselves for the first time in Oct. 2002. That first cria is a beautiful Med. Fawn GIRL out of a dam who is white on both sides all the way back. Certainly a positive show of color from this nice male (that girl threw a TB cria on her first breding to a TB...great color genetics!). Let's face it, luster and hand are THE most important traits...and Pete passes that to every cria! Be sure to go to the AN site of Rancho Milagro and see Mills Avenue Amos, another stunning 'Pete' cria! We just learned that Amos' fawn fiber is now going gray! Another cria out of a pinto dam (outside breeding) is also going gray...way to go Pete! Note: In the first Suri Network Summer Symposium and the largest Suri Fleece Show EVER (284 Suri fleeces)...2 of Pete's juvenile cria had a great showing! FMR Fantasea (TB/W Pinto) won Reserve Color Champion and FMR Mr. Majestic (Dark Maroon) won 1st Place (not enought in class for a championship)...way to go Pete...again! Pete passes his incredible luster and hand to all his cria! Majestic also won 1st in fleece at the Mid-America Alpaca Show '06 and 1st AND best luster at TxOLAN '07!

Aurora had her fifth cria today in a pasture shelter during a light rain. The female cria is 16.75 lbs and is white. Sire of the new cria, the fourth of our 2011 cria crop, is ABS Ignacio, a medium brown Suri. Aurora is a white dam, born March 5, 2001. Miss Aurora B is a second generation Suri. She is an experienced, caring dam who has given us several award winning Suri cria, including Aurora's Firecracker (a July 4th, 2004 cria), Bruxo's Twist & Shout (in 2005), and Lusterlocks of NMA (Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006). Aurora is an excellent dam, offering attentive care to her cria without being over protective. She births easily and has plenty of milk for her cria. Aurora rebreeds easily. Her crias consistently better her quality, as they should. Aurora is one of the sweetest, most sensible animals we have known. She is a delight to work with. Aurora is easy going within the herd and during routine care. She is protective without being spitty when you have to do new cria things to her babies... she is just a great girl! She has had five live births, with four of the crias surviving. Her crias have been Aurora's Firecracker, Bruxo's Twist & Shout, Lusterlocks of NMA, and Ismene of New Moon. Aurora has been bred to ASB Ignacio (confirmed by untrasound) and is due in mid-July. Her sire is an import, Black Ice of Bolivia B8496 IMPK98. Aurora's dam is also an import, Sal of Bolivia B8333 IMPP98.

Description

Aurora's Firecracker has a stocky build, with an exceptionally dense, elite, fleece. He is well locked and has good luster. Firecracker is a very friendly boy who will come up for his pecan even from a large pasture. He knows his name and he's easy to lead and load. Firecracker would be a good companion alpaca or could do justice to a fiber herd. Firecracker is a boy who has very well locked fiber....lots of it. He's a bright "red" fawn and the color is even all over. He's maintaining his fineness. He has been shown and has always placed in the top two. However, as he matured it became obvious that he has more body length than leg length, so he was not given herdsire duties. He comes from a trouble free and competent mother and presents no temperament issues. Firecracker is a strong, but cooperative and smart male! Firecracker is microchipped and has been tested for BVDV.
