Skyline Alpacas Silver Prance has been producing some very nice cria for us. He is passing on his exceptional fineness and outstanding head. We are hoping to use him more this coming year as we LIKE what we see. This isn’t a surprise given his award winning parents, Chilena, AOBA Color Champion, and Neruda, one of Patagonia’s best, selling for over 200K.

Description

Piper is a BEAUTIFUL MODERN light rose grey with striking black markings on the face and some of the longest eyelashes you'll ever see! Her blanket is solid and consistent with no color variations!!! She has a bright fleece that is very fine and has a wonderful handle. Piper's dam, Crescent Moon's McKenzie is a BEAUTIFUL True Black Legacy daughter. Not only did she take a 2nd at the Nationals, she also went on to take a 4th at the Futurity, the most competitive show in the nation at that time!! Her two brothers are now standing stud at Crescent Moon Alpacas, which raises the pedestal a bit higher on our Pipers genetics! Skyline Alpacas Silver Prancer (LSG), Piper’s sire, is an extremely fine Neruda son and he was also a 2nd place ribbon winner at the AOBA Nationals, and a multi-ribbon winner. Our predecessor in owning Piper, Fox Island, thought long and hard as to who should be the lucky man for her maiden breeding, and decided it was a no brainer……Fox Island chose their own FIA Excello’s Rocky Bay (med fawn). He has genetics that consist of Dom Lucilio, Caligula, Hemingway, Poseidon and Isaac – but he is also a SIX times Champion and a Judges Choice! With his perfect conformation, density, brightness, BOLD crimp architecture and fineness…we know that this is a pairing that's meant to be! The “love making” commenced and we await the results!! Update - unfortunately the last breeding didn't work out as desired. Piper is currently open and completely healthy. She can be rebred though we skipped all breeding this season (2017) for personal reasons. As always we are open to discussing options as part of your purchase. We are running a year-end/holiday package special for those truly looking to enhance color within their herd. See our 2+2 auction special with Piper, Angel, Choco and the fabulous Maximum Madness!
