Ben MacDhui

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 817456DOB: 9/5/199925 yrs
MacDhui's ARI certificate reads like a veritable "Who's Who" of the nation's top grey alpacas! His sire, Request the Best, is one of the most spectacular grey herdsires to be found anywhere, a multiple blue ribbon winner who placed first at the AOBA Nationals for three successive years. Dhui's grandsire on his father's side is the great medium rose grey, Cisco Kid, who is also sire to the famous General Schwarzkopf. From his black dam, MacDhui has inherited perfect conformation and a grey and black pedigree going back four generations, including SA Silverado and The Silversmith. Quite apart from his star-studded pedigree, Ben MacDhui is well known on the show circuit as a top quality grey herdsire in his own right. At MaPaca 2002, Mike Safley pronounced him "the densest alpaca in the class" and at the 2002 Virginia Classic Dr. Anthony Stachowski remarked on his "exquisite head" and "exemplary density". Other judges comments include "wonderful fleece", "very typey conformation" and "stylish". MacDhui is a real head-turner, with a wonderful temperament, excellent coverage, conformation and fiber. His first son, the half-Peruvian rose grey Kinross, sold as a future herdsire at only 4 months of age and won a blue ribbon in his first show. His first daughter, Shannon of Cairngorm, placed second in the "Bred and owned female" class at the 2005 Virginia Classic and sold within a week of being offered for sale. His second daughter, Eilwen, sold before she was weaned and without ever being listed for sale and placed third in halter at the 2006 Virginia Classic. His medium silver grey son, Skye, sold as a herdsire prospect and won a blue ribbon in yearling halter at the Level V Buckeye Show in 2006. Elin, his beautiful half-Peruvian dark brown daughter, won a blue ribbon at MAPACA in 2007!

Crosswind's Faith

AOA# 1245424DOB: 12/7/200519 yrs
Faith is a big pretty maroon colored girl bred to Ben MacDhui for an Oct 2010 cria. Her cria with Sir Night was born in mid June 2009 and is a gorgeous medium fawn, fast growing and healthy! He sold earlier this year. Faith's silver grey male MacDhui son was born on Oct 31, 2010. He is healthy and growing fast! He definitely has herdsire potential! Faith was rebred for Oct 2011 to our 7/8 accoyo male Sampson. Faith gave birth to a gorgeous dark fawn female cria. This girl looks to have Dad's density and fleece organization, with a very fine fleece and nice hand. This cria is the nicest born this season with that glossy crimpy fleece. Faith is confirmed to PC Peruvian Knightrider for Nov 2012. This cria should also be a stunner as Knightrider should bring density and even more organization to the crias fleece. Faith gave birth to a big, beautiful, dense, and crimpy fawn female in Nov 2012! More info on this lovely girl coming soon! Knightrider sure put his stamp on this girl! Faith is exposed to Glenstone's Ignite for a Dec 2014 cria. This boy is TB, very dense, and well put together. He complement's Faith's fineness and staple length. This cria should be her best yet!
