This boy is the best deal in the alpaca industry at the moment. He is a very attractive, strong white male with fantastic conformation and excellent fleece characteristics. He currently has 3 offspring on the ground - ALL FEMALES - and spectacular females to boot, each one better than the last! They all have really nice personalities and superior fleece statistics. Pago is part of a herd that I am fostering since their owner suffered a physical disability. The two alpacas that I took for my herd in trade for supporting and brokering the others are both his daughters! The third female offspring was born to me and I consider her a real treasure. She has the best histogram I've ever seen. I have kept Pago under my hat for the past few months - I wanted to get to know him and I have toyed with incorporating him into my herdsire stable. However, he shares similar genetics with a lot of my females; I have acquired a couple of other white males with completely different genetics from the rest of my stock, so have decided that Pago deserves a home where his considerable attributes can be a benefit. We will be sorry to see him go - he's a cutie - but he's too good to waste. This is a great opportunity to add a great white herdsire to your herd at WAY below value. On farm managed breedings can be arranged but will require boarding fees for your female and reimbursement for pregnancy testing.

NOT FOR SALE RETIRED FROM BREEDING Vito has a fine bright fleece, butter soft with crimp from his nose to his toes. He has magnificent coverage and a density that is really remarkable. He has stunning conformation and a gorgeous, typey head. He also is a gentle soul with a sweet disposition. Vito uniformly throws his density and well organized lock structure. We have a splendid variety of colors in Vito offspring - he tends to throw the dam's color although not in every case and he throws that teddy bear head about 50% of the time. All of the offspring I have seen have his very correct conformation and "nose to toes" fleece coverage and...well...we just have an awful lot of satisfied customers. Show Record Information Vito had a very successful show career. He never placed lower than third in any halter class he entered and never lower than second in the two national fleece shows he entered. His fleece shorn at 66 months was awarded Color Champion at the prestigious Great Western Alpaca Show in Denver (May, 2010) The judge commented on how well he is holding his micron as well as how well structured and consistent his fleece is. Most recently at the AOA National Fleece Show, he was awarded 19 out of 20 points for fineness and handle on a fleece shorn at eleven and half years! Still winning ribbons after all these years. Show information is available here as well as through the AOA web site. When using show results as a criteria for choosing stud services or purchases, we strongly encourage you to consider the whole equation. Look at the size of the show, the level of experience of the judge(s), the size of the class in question and the show experience of the other breeders competing in the class. Not all blue ribbons are created equal. We are very proud of Vito's show record, but he has a second place ribbon that I am just as proud of as all of his championship ribbons. Show results should be considered only one tool to be used in judging the quality of any alpaca.

Description

Theresa came to us as part of a herd we had agreed to foster and it took her about a day to wrap us all around her little toes! Not only is she gorgeous, she's just the sweetest thing EVER! She has that kind of fleece that makes you want to come back for a second touch - dense, soft, long - you just want to curl up with her for a nice long cuddle. Theresa is currently bred to Our multi-champion herdsire, Altair's Vito for a fall, 2014 Cria. She sells with the current baby on board and a free breed back to any of wonderful males. We are so pleased to welcome Pam and Dave Groff to the industry. They have a wonderful rapport with the animals and I am so looking forward to working with them. Congrats to Pam and Dave and to Theresa Marie - I think they will make a winning team.
