NOT FOR SALE RETIRED FROM BREEDING Vito has a fine bright fleece, butter soft with crimp from his nose to his toes. He has magnificent coverage and a density that is really remarkable. He has stunning conformation and a gorgeous, typey head. He also is a gentle soul with a sweet disposition. Vito uniformly throws his density and well organized lock structure. We have a splendid variety of colors in Vito offspring - he tends to throw the dam's color although not in every case and he throws that teddy bear head about 50% of the time. All of the offspring I have seen have his very correct conformation and "nose to toes" fleece coverage and...well...we just have an awful lot of satisfied customers. Show Record Information Vito had a very successful show career. He never placed lower than third in any halter class he entered and never lower than second in the two national fleece shows he entered. His fleece shorn at 66 months was awarded Color Champion at the prestigious Great Western Alpaca Show in Denver (May, 2010) The judge commented on how well he is holding his micron as well as how well structured and consistent his fleece is. Most recently at the AOA National Fleece Show, he was awarded 19 out of 20 points for fineness and handle on a fleece shorn at eleven and half years! Still winning ribbons after all these years. Show information is available here as well as through the AOA web site. When using show results as a criteria for choosing stud services or purchases, we strongly encourage you to consider the whole equation. Look at the size of the show, the level of experience of the judge(s), the size of the class in question and the show experience of the other breeders competing in the class. Not all blue ribbons are created equal. We are very proud of Vito's show record, but he has a second place ribbon that I am just as proud of as all of his championship ribbons. Show results should be considered only one tool to be used in judging the quality of any alpaca.

Maria's Maggie

HuacayaOpen (Female)White

Maggie is the "Grand Dame" of the Que Sera herd. She is a big girl with a big heart, a gentle and curious nature, and soft dense fleece. Her sire, PCA Destino, is descended from Pperuvian Camilio and Peruvian Hemingway. She is a fabulous mother and has given us six beautiful crias. She is our most reliable production female; breeds easily, births easily, is a great milker and a very attentive mother...just does her job - no muss, no fuss. Although she is not producing the staple length she once did, she continues to carry an impressive density and produces a very usable Grade 4 fiber each year. All of her offspring have impressive staples for which they can thank their mama, two of the four are white carrying the spotting pattern, two are a luscious bright white, one (Que Sera Suzie Q) is a beautiful creamy solid fawn who has gifted us with Jasper and Amber, 2 of our most spectacular crias to date! last year Maggie gifted us with Que Sera Vito's River Jordan - a luscious dark brown with grey spots and grey neck and is the spitting image of her paternal grandmother, DPF Macademia ( a bay black beauty who still had a 19 micron at age 9!) We are very excited about breeding River this year to see what we can do with those grey markings. Here's what I love about this business - Maggie's 2010 cria is the most solid white, pink tissued little girl I've ever seen - there's not a hint of color on her anywhere - when you look at her standing in the pasture, she sort of glows. Maggie was one of the first members of the Que Sera herd. She is a fantastic production female and would be a wonderful addition to any herd whether you are old hands at alpaca breeding or just getting started. We love her to death but find that our herd is a little over balanced with her genetics. REST IN PEACE, SWEET GIRL. WE WILL MISS YOU ALWAYS.

Description

Deceased - Rest in Peace our beautiful girl. We miss you every day. River's fleece has a luscious brightness and a very soothing handle - unusual softness in a dark fleece. She has an amazingly long staple (SOP for Maggie's cria) and a very nice crimp style. And they just don't get any sweeter than our River! Although she is primarily brown, she has developed a couple of grey spots and we are choosing breeding partners for her to see if she will produce grey. She was bred to our new darling, Greased Lighning. A dark male out of some great grey bloodlines, and we are very pleased with the results. Our fantastic Rocket Man hit the ground late in the morning on July 4th and I felt like the fireworks had started early. He took a blue ribbon at his very first show. Frankly, she has gifted us two wonderful cria so far...Cimarron - who is a spectacular young male with a respectable show record, and now our wonderful Rocket Man - ...she just continues to delight us. Cimarron starts his breeding career this fall...you might want to check him out! River is currently bred to our Shadow Prince, a really gorgeous dark brown boy - we are really looking forward to this baby.
