Thank you to everyone that voted for Lancaster @ the MAPACA Jubilee! We should be hearing back any day now on the results after all votes and offspring awards have been tallied!
Lancaster has proven himself over and over again in the consistant quality of offspring he produces. We would love to see him win herdsire of the year. He certainly deserves it.
Not only is Lancaster's fleece consistent but so are his show winnings. He won his 14th blue ribbon at MAPACA '05. And he won the coveted Fawn Male Color Championship at MAPACA '04. Lancaster has been called, by more than one judge: "the total package". Mr. Safley said what's more impressive is that even though Lancaster was over 2 years old and the second oldest out of the sixteen first place males vying for Championship, he was the finest of them all-even the 7 month old standing reserve behind him. Lancaster took first place in the GET OF SIRE at the very big Ohio AlpacaFest Fall 2007 show over some stiff competition<--description-->
Dam: Nyala's Peruvian Liaden
31907194<--ari-->DARK SILVER GREY<--color-->
Liaden is Irish for "Gray Lady", a perfect fit for this spirited beautiful girl! Actually, she is more than beautiful, she is STRIKING!!! She has her mother's proud show winning stance. Her mother Pistol is a blue ribbon winner who makes blue ribbon and champion babies. Pistol's first cria took a color championship, her second cria took a blue ribbon in his first show and now here is her third cria, Liaden!
Liaden's father is Full Peruvian Black Guellermo son Checkmate. He is Full Alianza. So Liaden is 1/2 Allianza from Good Ole Dad.
Her grandfather on her mother's side is National gray champion Nic Nac and her great grandfather is Black Magic.
Everyone who visits the field notices Liaden first for her striking markings and lively spirit! She is truly one of a kind! Only wish I had more opportunity to show her as she is truly a show stopper!
NEWSFLASH! Liaden's first cria received JUDGE'S CHOICE award at PAOBA...check out Stairway to Heaven! A<--description-->
Description
We have always been drawn to the gray alpacas.We have several gray females in our herd. Having always wanted to have a top gray herdsire, when given the chance to partner on Greymatter we were thrilled.
Mattie has it all, his fleece is simply spectacular. It has a a great low micron and a low CV, wonderful buttery supple feel with a soft handle. These fleece qualities are quite rare in greys.
His staple length is very impressive, with consistent tight crimp from skin to tip. Mattie also has very few spots on his blanket.
Mattie's genetics are among the best in the business. His sire is Lancaster, owned by Flying Pony, whose genetics are so sought after, he has over 300 cria. Mattie is among only 6 grey males that Lancaster has ever produced. Lancaster's sire is Conan whom we've admired for years. Mattie's dam is a ribbon winner herself who has produced gorgeous cria including a Judge's Choice winner.
Matties temperament is so mellow. You would never think that a breeding male would be so calm and relaxed on a lead. He is just a pleasure to work with. We love having him here on our farm and truly miss him when he is at one of our partners farms.
**Mattie will have his first cria crop arriving this summer. He has 10 confirmed pregnancies.
We are proud to co-own Mattie with Ideuma Creek Alpacas & Out of Sight Alpacas.
