Lovin' it in The Secret Meadow...
LANA BELLA LOLA CABANA
Alpaca, Huacaya, Open (Female) | Medium Brown
AOA #30426009 | DOB: 6/29/2006 (18 yrs)
Sire: Camilio's Accoyo the Babe
30426009<--ari-->Medium Fawn<--color-->Peruvian - Full Accoyo - The Babe is in a league of his own! One of the few Full Accoyo Dark Med Fawns in the Country. When people get their hands on him, they comment about how is fleece is like getting lost in a bowl of butter. It is thick, rich and smooth.
We have the results of The Babe's first pairing. We bred him to a beautiful girl who has solid conformation and good staple, yet she needed crimp, density, coverage and top knot. That is a big order, but we were confident that The Babe could pull it off.
She was born fall of 2004 and what a beauty! Her name is Camille and at just 6 months old competed at the MOPACA show. Not only did she stand proudly at the top of her class, she went on to take the Color Champion for the light class. That was a win out of 35 animals!
The Babe also has an amazing Silver Gray boy on the ground named Tamerlane (see link below). This young male just took the Blue Ribbon at the Maryland Show - Spring 2006.<--description-->
Dam: Sadie Bess
30426009<--ari-->Medium Rose Grey<--color-->Peruvian - Not sure where to start describing this girl. She is georgeous!
A dark silver gray 1/2 accoyo Felix daughter. <--description-->
Description
Lola Cabana is owned by Jody Hezoucky of Lana Bella Alpacas in Ohio, and she's offered exclusively as an alpaca of The Secret Meadow. She can be purchased individually, but is also offered at an unspeakable price with the others in her herd (or other herds) and, again, ONLY within The Secret Meadow.
Lola Cabana is a strong, sound dam with correct conformation and good bone structure.
Lola has a nice temperament, too, which is important on any alpaca farm. Plus, these characteristics are hereditary, and one always wants to have peaceable, easily managed alpacas in the herd! She's one of 'em.
As far as being a production dam? Lola Cabana has thus far proven to be a reliable producer and a great mom to her crias. She's ideal for anyone just starting out with alpacas, too, as she is truly FOUNDATION DAM material, without question.
I asked Jody to tell me her thoughts on Lola: "Lola Cabana is without a doubt a real SHOW GIRL." What a great statement for a female you'll have producing top-drawer offspring with?! Pair her with your best male of choice, and you just can't go wrong.
Lola Cabana is truly a rare find in that she is the product of a 1/2 Accoyo, full Peruvian gray female and a Peruvian full Accoyo fawn sire. Color, color everywhere and full Peruvian, too boot! Her lineage is terrific, including PPeruvian Camilio and PPeruvian Felix.
The qualities exhibited by this dam are what serious huacaya breeders look for in their foundation animals. Just look around, and you'll see - this is not often found in the national herd (3/4 Accoyo, full Peruvian in color...especially with the grey genes in there).
You're looking at an opportunity not often found in alpaca sales, so do take some serious time getting to know all about this dam now, so you can secure her for your herd before someone else does!
