ALH Melina Gold
Alpaca, Huacaya, Open (Female) | White
AOA #30707399 | DOB: 9/23/2006 (18 yrs)
Sire: Juleon Gold
30707399<--ari-->White<--color-->Full Peruvian
This is the guy that sired our OABA 2003 Blue Ribbon winner and Color Champion, Alpaca Heights Commanche Gold (now co-owned with Hager Farm). Like father, like son. Juleon Gold is one of the first offspring of well known 4Peruvian Altiplano Gold from the Sollocota Plantel herd. Altiplano is described as an undisputed 'king-maker'. I have to agree. Juleon's first male offspring 'Commander' has been mounting females since 2 months of age! His female offspring, Katarina Gold, Mandolin Gold, Alexia Gold, and Misha Gold are definite show quality animals. Fiber abundance with fineness and locks are his trademark. His testicles are extremely large. His presence makes him look like he is always in 'breeding mode'! When you're looking for extreme density and genetics that haven't been overexposed, plus be able to compete with the Accoyo lines in the showring, this is your guy!<--description-->
Dam: 6994 Peruvian Molly
30707399<--ari-->White<--color-->Full Peruvian
I purchased Molly from Camelids of Delaware in Ohio as a youngster. I was in love with her look. She was dripping in fine crimpy fleece and had the sweetest face.
She has been a stellar producer for me. 4 for 4 for girls. I've had people want to buy her though she's never been for sale. Any stranger to the farm that walks through the gate most likely will see Molly quietly approach and extend her nose out to you so you can touch noses with her.<--description-->
Description
Well I'm pleased that I persuaded one of my dear clients to let me have Melina back along with her new Vortex son, Vista. That combo of her background matched up to our Full Accoyo boy Vortex should produce stunning offspring every year with the fineness, crimp, brightness and uniformity we strive for.
You have whites, and you have some REALLY nice whites. 1/4 Accoyo Melina fits into the really nice category. No surprise when you see her dam and sire, and grandsire (Altiplano Gold). Her fleece took 3rd place honors out of 9 entries in the very competitive white class at MIAF 2007 so we were very pleased.
Melina has always been in excellent health, high IgG at birth, mom had lots of milk so her growth record is excellent. Excellent bite and conformation.
Awards
