3/2009 Montano, aka "Tommy", gets better each time we look at him. His fleece has a low scale, silky handle with incredible shine. It exhibits a high amplitude, high frequency crimp along a lengthy staple and bundles beautifully (the photo does not begin to do it justice). Tommy's conformation is solid, square and well proportioned with a nice large bone, straight legs and great presence. Our two BEST Nova cria born within 4 days of each other. Good thing they're different colors or we'd be hard pressed to tell them apart. They are the proverbial "Two Peas in a Pod" and inseparable. Talulla gave birth right after morning chores and I know this sounds crazy but as I was helping her cria to the ground I ran my hand over it's belly praying "Please be a Boy, please be a Boy". We've been blessed with 4 Nova daughters thus far and while I'm not complaining in the least, I really wanted a boy from this breeding. Our prayers were answered and he's so nice we don't even mind that he's the wrong shade of black. Dense, fine, bright and crimpy best describes his fleece, all in the most beautiful mahogany color. Montano is full brother to Moonacre Novette. At the NJ Show and Sale, Judge Wade Gease waxed poetic about Montano's fineness, "And did I say he was fine? No, REALLY fine!" Montano now wholly owned by Coventry Falls Alpacas.

Champion Producing Dam!

CB Bebe Nina

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 821707DOB: 9/10/200024 yrs
Bebe is the one of those foundation dams that you dream of owning. Her production record in terms of quality is amazing. Dam of Herdsire extraordinaire and Multiple Black Color Champion, NA Lord Forrester, Bebe produces gorgeous black offspring. Bred to MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite she gave birth to CB Delissa and NA Lady Nina Mesquite both Color Champions in black. It is our experience that the "El Negro" bloodline nicks especially well with Snowmass Nova and Matador bloodlines. Our finest, brightest, showiest black fleeces are a combination of all three. 6/29/10 Bebe gave birth to a gorgeous inky-blue True Black boy! We're calling him "Absolute Dark Matter" Matt for short, but his name should be "Absolutely No Worries" because that's how he came into this world. Born 5:30 am, he was up, nursing, pooping and peeing within 30 minutes. He weighed in at 19.1 lbs and his IgG 2813. See, No Worries. 6/24/11 Bebe birthed another stellar boy sired by Moonacre Montano (Nova, Quetzal, Matador lines)! 17.4 lbs bright and healthy, Walker is the first non-black cria for Bebe. He looks Dark Brown/Bay Black for now and just like Dark Matter his fleece is crimpy and greasy. 5/43/13 It's a girl! Dark fawn/light brown, the lightest cria Bebe has given us but probably the best also. Stunning and spunky, Serafina is spectacular!
