MAPACA Herdsire of the Year 2010!

KHF Grand Slam

SuriHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn

Grand Slam is an exceptional stud ... don't just take our word for it ... the judges agreed awarding him four color championships! We knew he was great from the first time we saw him as a juvenile in the show ring. But it took us a few years to finally acquire him for our own herdsire line up and he's been batting 1000 with his progeny! Grand Slam is a 3/4 Accoyo, Full Peruvian medium fawn with blinding luster which he passes on to his cria. He's amazingly dense with beautifully fine fleece. He's built like a tank with perfect, compact conformation. And his disposition is akin to that of a golden retriever. He really is everything you would want in a superior male Suri alpaca. Hundreds of alpaca owners got to see him in the stud raffle at the 2010 MAPACA Jubilee where he was named Suri Herdsire of the Year! If you'd like to see him, or better yet, breed your female Suri dam to him, give us a call. You will not be disappointed in your selection. Come and see the Suri Farm display at the Farm Show January 4th-11th in the Northwest Hall!

Magnificent Beauty!

FIVE TIME CHAMPION Josephine is a rare and gorgeous beauty - a brown 1/2 Accoyo, full Peruvian stunner! We knew from the moment she hit the ground that she was destined for greatness. She has an undeniable pedigree of excellence and she was born wtih the conformation and fleece expected from such lineage. She has been the only alpaca born on our farm to not be named from Shakespeare. Jo is special indeed because she was named after Monica's Mom, Josephine. You can see a picture of the two Josie's on the right side of this page. Grandma Jo was born September 25th - alpaca Jo on September 21st. Grandma Jo used to have thick, long, curly brown locks just like alpaca Jo. Grandma Jo had seven "above average" children ... we're hoping that alpaca Jo will do the same. This spring, Josephine delivered a STUNNER out of our FOUR TIME CHAMPION FULL ACCOYO Rembrandt! Their "little" girl, Isabella, will hit the show circuit next year for sure. Jo is currently bred to our four time Champion ASF-PA Peruvian Vincentio for a May 2011 cria. We can't wait to see the results of this fantastic pairing. Our Josephine really is "all that!" She's got the pedigree, conformation, fleece and now Championships to prove it! This fabulous 1/2 Accoyo brown female is a perfect example of the Suri that our breeding program is set to achieve. We've combined the best of the best in this girl and we couldn't be more pleased with the result.
