We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Pleasant Hill Alpacas & Canterbury Farms Alpacas on this incredible herd sire. Strat is one of the premiere fawn Accoyo herd sires in the country. In just 3 years of cria in the show ring, his offspring have over 35 championships & over 68 blue ribbons. When Genine, our partner from Canterbury Farms Alpacas, went to the 2010 Kentucky Classic, she couldn’t have been more proud; a Strat cria won the white color championship. A Strat cria won the black reserve color championship, & a Strat cria won the brown reserve color championship as well! It is no wonder Strat took 1st place, get-of-sire at that show & at the OABA Alpacafest as well! In addition to these 2 Get-of-Sires, Strat has 5 blue ribbons for his awesome conformation & beautiful fiber. He has never been beat by another full Accoyo in the show ring! Stratosphere is the product of 4Peruvian Accoyo Legacy, the highest selling alpaca of all time, & Accoyo Astillero, the dam of multiple blue ribbon & champion cria. He is 1 of only a handful of full Accoyos that Legacy has EVER produced, & is 1 of only 2 herd sire Medium Fawn Full Accoyo Legacy sons in the world! Stratosphere CONSISTANTLY improves the dam, at every level adding density, crimp, fineness & beautiful coverage & heads to his cria. In addition to quality, Strat adds COLOR as well. He is a rich medium fawn & has produced cria of all colors including black & grey. In fact, almost every black cria that he has produced has become a champion! Call about our Book-a-Breeding Incentives and our special breeding packages. Right now we’re featuring our “Make A Champion Cria” package featuring a breeding to Stat and an Accoyo Invasion breeding for $3500. The best way to make a champion cria is to breed to a male that consistently is producing champion cria. Visit Strat here in New York this summer! UPDATE - at MAPACA 2011 - Strat cria took blues in white, black, beige and brown - the reserve color championship in white and the color championship in black! To celebrate Strat's inaugural visit to NY, we are offering $1k off his breeding fee to the first ten who book breedings with him. That's $1500 for a breeding to Strat!

Dam: Conan's Peruvian Raven of Ideuma Creek

Full Peruvian True Black Conan Daughter!

Conan's Peruvian Raven of Ideuma Creek

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 30938427DOB: 6/3/200816 yrs
Raven is one of only a very few black full Peruvian females out of Conan. We were delighted when she was born here on our farm! Raven is the quality black that you get when you cross two top-notch alpacas that cover black. Conan, Raven's sire is a fawn full Peruvian import whose offspring have done incredibly well in the showring. Raven's paternal brother, Lancaster, is a 6X color champion in fawn, and her paternal brother, Kodiak, is a 2X champion in black. Raven's dam, Peruvian Renatta, is a gorgeous maroon girl with dense soft fiber and a great face. Raven has incredibly dense, crimpy soft fiber. She stands proud and strong with a presence. Her face is gorgeous and looks like it will develop into one of those fiber filled teddy bear faces. Since we have just acquired Melody, another true black full Peruvian Conan daughter, we are willing to part with either Raven or Melody, but not both! Raven continues to produce top-notch blue ribbon winning cria for us - always black or silver grey! She is currently bred to Peruvian Silver Bullet who is in the top 1% EPDs for fleece length and is due with her black or grey cria this summer. The last time these two were paired, they produced a gorgeous silver grey girl who is in the top 1% EPDs!

Description

Janet P is named after one of our favorite people on the planet. Janet Povlock is a local legend fiber artist in our neck of the woods. We are lucky enough to have Jan spin, knit, crochet, felt and design for us. She has always wanted to see an alpaca birth. She was coming over to help me sort fleece when I realized Raven was definitely in stage one labor. Janet pulled up a hay bale and stayed for the duration - the birth, the placenta, the first steps, the first attempts at nursing. Jan saw just about all of JP's firsts. JP is truly a special little girl. She is a true black, full Peruvian, half Accoyo out of legendary 5X blue ribbon winning Stratosphere and Conan daughter, Peruvian Raven. The last time these two paired up they produced blue ribbon winning Sira Barbeit whose fawn fleece was downright stunning. Strat's cria have over 80 blue ribbons and more than 40 championships - in every color, including black. Although she is very young, we're already thinking who she should be bred to. We would include a breeding to the Ideuma Creek herdsire of your choice. If you like black, Reserve Champion and 5X blue ribbon winner, The Scotsman is at your service. Our blue ribbon silver grey boy, Silver Bullet would make a lovely grey or black cria with JP as well. If you want to add more Accoyo to the lineage, we've got you covered there too. Cuba Libre had been making some awesome cria, and we think a pairing with JP could be fantastic. We also could offer our newest herdsire, a Lancaster son, Peruvian Grey Matter. These two should give you silver grey or black.
