HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Silver Grey

Silver Bullet is stunning. Perhaps the color most desired by alpaca breeders, Silver can produce any and every color alpaca. When bred to solid black dams, he should produce only black and silver grey cria. And color isn't all he has to offer! Coming from full Peruvian descent, his fleece is exceptionally soft and crimpy - even his tail is crimpy! Bullet has good density and nice coverage. Bullet has very little white on his legs and an almost solid silver grey blanket, something that judges like to see! Bullet's sire has multiple ribbons, Bullet has multiple ribbons, as does his full sister. He is destined to produce ribbon winners himself. We are delighted to add Peruvain Silver Bullet to our herd sire line up. He is fully owned and will reside here at Ideuma Creek all year long. Spring 2009 Update - Bullet's first two cria are here - a dense, crimpy true black solid male here at Ideuma Creek, and a gorgeous silver grey full Peruvian girl at Heather-Rayne Farm. We're both delighted with these first Silver Bullet offspring! Summer 2010 Update - More Bullet cria have arrived! Silver Grey Silver Bella sold before she was weaned. True black females Eclipse and Abbey Dubbel are gorgeous. Gentle Breeze Alpacas had silver grey Annie, a beautiful girl, and Bambi gave us a dense, fawn fiber-blocked boy who is fabulous. We are very pleased with Bullet's performance and look forward to his 2011 cria crop.

Dam: Peruvian Melody

True Black Full Peruvian Conan Daughter!

Peruvian Melody

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 31145589DOB: 6/12/200816 yrs
Melody has just about everything going for her. She is a full Peruvian true black female from outstanding lineage. She is the full sister to 2X true black champion Kodiak and the paternal sister to 6X fawn champion Lancaster. Mel's bright black fleece is shiny and slick. Her conformation is excellent, and her bite is right on. Mel is one of only a very few full Peruvain true black girls out of Conan. We happen to own two of them. We are willing to part with either Mel or Raven, but not both. This line is one we definitely want to keep in our own breeding program. We just got her first histogram back. We weren't surprised. With the way she feels and her background genetics, you'd expect such fine, uniform fiber, even on a true black! Her 2009 historgram reads micron - 20.8, SD 4.1 and CV 19.6 - these are numbers to be proud of on a white alpaca and Melody is black!! Even better than this - Melody is keeping her fine, uniform fleece as she matures. We were thrilled when we received her latest Yocom-McColl results. Mel's 2010 micron results are AFD 21.5, SD 4.1, CV 19.1 and %>30 2.2. We have bred Melody to our blue ribbon silver grey herdsire - Peruvian Silver Bullet. These two should produce a black or silver grey cria with great soft fleece next summer. Mel is one gorgeous girl and she should have gorgeous cria. UPDATE - and she has! Check out her very first cria, Ideuma Creek's Peruvian Clarice. We couldn't be happier. She's just beautiful! Melody is one of our girls that had a positive first ultrasound, and then slipped her pregnancy. Her second ultrasound came up empty. We reluctantly left Mel open, but plan to breed her to Accoyo Stratosphere first thing this coming spring.

Description

We've waited a long time for this one! Clarice was exactly what we were looking for when we bred her dam, Peruvain Melody to our blue ribbon silver grey boy, Peruvain Silver Bullet. She is more than one generation in the making. We purchased Melody and brought her across the country here to New York. We love her lineage. She's a Conan daughter, one of only a very few true black full Peruvians that Conan has ever produced, and a full sister to multi-champion, Kodiak. Sadly, Conan has passed, so Clarice's genetics are even more valuable. Her fleece is super-soft with a micron count in the teens. We waited until she was two to breed her and then not-so-patiently waited almost a year for her cria to be born. What a wonderful gift that we got Clarice! Not only is she a gorgeous tuxedo silver grey, but her fleece is super crimpy, dense and soft. It's truly some of the nicest fleece I've ever seen on a grey alpaca. We're awful proud to have made her here. If she is still at our farm when she gets to breeding age, we will likely breed her to Accoyo Stratosphere. He's got five blue ribbons from very impressive shows and one heck of a track record for producing exceptional offspring. In a little over three years of cria in the showring, his offspring have claimed more than 70 blue ribbons and more than 35 championships. Together they will make a full Peruvian, half Accoyo cria, perhaps black or grey, with fleece that should be exceptional.
