GLR Blackout is a son of 2010 Herdsire of the Year, Shavano, and GLR Amelita, the dam of National Champion, GLR Kolaqua. Blackout at his very first show earned MAPACA Color Champion and Judge's Choice male. Judge's Choice to a black??? I know!!! He then earned a second place as the youngest in a class of 12 at the 2011 Futurity, placing right behind the Color Champion. On his one year birthday he was declared the 2011 Black National Color Champion!!! Blackout has that fine, super dense, consistent lock we admire from Shavano. He has striking presence, proportion, conformation, and a deep, colorful pedigree of Shavano, Condor, and Alita. Blackout's crias are maroon, bay black, true black, grey, grey appaloosa. All stunning! Michonne the best true black born on our farm. We will be breeding him for 2021 offspring at Hephzibah Farms, where he's already last year produced a mini-me for their next little herdsire. After that, he is available for purchase, partnership or lease.

When we bred Kalika's dam in 2009, we just knew that the outcome would produce a great foundation female. We are very happy to be able to bring the outcome of that breeding, and a daughter of our herdsire, Bad Bad Leroy Brown, back into our breeding program. Kalika exhibits all the traits that we like to see on our alpacas. She has high luster, dense, fine fleece and impressive fleece structure. Her conformation is solid, proportioned and her dam, who was once described as Alpaca Jack (Jack Donaldson) as his best female, has some of the strongest maternal instincts of any alpaca we have owned. Kalika has already proven she can be a top producer. Her 2013 cria sired by GLR Blackout is hands down the best black cria we have seen born on our farm. Kalika is currently available for purchase with her 2013 cria at side, So So Peruvian Michonne, and a breeding in the spring to GLR Blackout.
