As Brad Sprouse of Great Lakes Ranch noted shortly after Bad Bad's dam arrived for a breeding with a 3 week old Bad Bad at side, Leroy "is developing into a really nice little guy. I think he will make Belmonte proud." We also thought highly of this boy at a very young age and had him earmarked for our herdsire row ever since. We weren't very surprised when Bad Bad began his show career bringing home blue ribbons from his first two shows. Full Peruvian, half Accoyo and solid medium brown out of a Ninotchka daughter and 10-Time Champion Accoyo Belmonte, Leroy continued to prove he can hang in any class and ribboned in every single halter class he was entered in (12 times), including 2 Futurity Shows and 2 trips to the AOBA Nationals! It's that WOW kind of luster and fineness, the best attributes of both his sire and dam that had Leroy above the rest! With 121 crias registered to his 10-Time Champion sire Belmonte, Bad Bad is his darkest full Peruvian male on the ground. As his dam has produced 5 black offspring from 8 breedings, Leroy will make a very nice outcross for those deep colored MacGyver girls and he is quite the stud. With 7 of his daughters in our foundation, Leroy is available now to go to work on your farm.

Dam: Shakespeare's Raven Shay

5 Time Black Champion

Shakespeare's Raven Shay

SuriBred (Female)True Black

Wow, what a raving beauty she is! If you ever had the chance to see Raven you are sure to remember her. Raven's got what the judges are cravin' - she racked up 3 Color Championships as a Juvi and as a yearling continued to captivate the judges, earning another blue and 2 MORE Championships! She finished her long show career proving herself to be definitively one of the top 3 black females in the country. Tim Lavan at NIAE after awarding her the championship said Raven had the "best fleece & finest micron in the class. . . put your hands on this girl & you won't even know you're touching a black." This girl's show record is a mile long and with 5 championships to her credit, she's one of the most decorated black females in the country. But the glamour hasn't gone to her head, she's also one of the sweetest girls on our farm. THAT'S SO RAVEN! The most incredible luster in true black fleece; ridiculously ropey locks to the skin and fine, cool, silky handle on this girl. Beautiful suri wedge head, full-fleeced face and beard; density and coverage head to toe; plus presence - this girl is a show-stopper. With grey grandsires on both sides of her pedigree, maroon parents and her gleaming black locks; black, maroon, and grey crias are on the horizon for our breeding program and we couldn't be more excited. Raven was bred to our own MacGyver's Armed and Dangerous and with 16 championships between them; Raven's first cria Apollo Creed is a gorgeous true black male of the utmost quality with Mom's ropey fleece. Raven was then rebred to MacGyver's Armed and Dangerous and had a gorgeous dark brown daughter Rhiannon. Both Apollo and Rhiannon have taken blue ribbons and both have taken a Championship. This year we are very excited to see what Raven can do with our Champion Bad Bad Leroy Brown. As Leroy's dam has produced 7 cria, 5 of which were black, and his sire has also thrown black, we think this combo may produce something black and spectacular in 2010. Congratulations and Thank you to Laura Lee of Buckeye Country Alpacas where Raven will be making her new home!

Description

Bad Bad's Miss Behavin' is a dark brown girl out of 5-Time Champion dam, Shakespeare's Raven Shay, and our brown Champion Belmonte son, Bad Bad Leroy Brown. Miss Behavin' has striking luster, beautiful conformation and a deep dark color background. Miss Behavin's two maternal siblings have both taken championships in the show ring. We have had a great run with Leroy crias, throwing 20 of 23 females thus far, the majority of which were dark colored females so we are able to offer a special price on Miss Behavin. She comes with a breeding to the herdsire of your choice.
