A 2010 RESERVE HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR - SIRE OF OUR 2010 NATIONAL JUDGES CHOICE BEST SURI FEMALE FUTURITY AND NATIONAL CHAMPION, PRODUCING FUTURITY AND NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! And the blue ribbons and Championships have continued with his offspring. As of the spring of 2010 with his first offspring hitting the show ring, within his first two years of production his progeny racked up 32 Color Champions and 17 Reserve Champions - including Futurity Color Champions and Reserve Champions and National Color Champion and National Reserve Champions, 75 1sts and 24 2nds - I'll stop there, plus 5 1sts in Get of Sire and several other individual Bred & Owned production class wins. MacGyver's Armed & Dangerous is all a suri breeder could ask for. Armed with tight penciled locks, density, excellent coverage and high luster; it is easy to see how MAC earned his name. A grandson of StudMaster Bruxo and the 2005 Light Herdsire of the Year, 2P Inca; son of 6 Time Herdsire of the Year, Peruvian MacGyver, this 1/2 Accoyo full Peruvian brown phenom is a product of the finest suri lineage in the country. He is an incredible 11-time champion, taking home 13 blue ribbons from the largest shows in the country, including wins at the 2006 Futurity and 2006 Nationals. With these genetics you just can't miss and MAC has the ribbons AND THE PROGENY to prove it! PREPOTENCY? You heard it. A multi-champion producing champion after champion. Color? Brown out of white dams, TRUE black out of white dams-1/2 the crias shown on this page came from white dams! We are seeing him add very good density, tons of luster, fineness and handle, as well as consistency of lock structure in his offspring. MAC can do it all. Partial interest in Armed & Dangerous is available.

Dam:

Champion Miquel Daughter

Cassia

SuriBred (Female)Dark Fawn
AOA# 845626DOB: 4/23/200124 yrs
Cassia is a medium fawn color champion out of Pperuvian Miquel and Dr. Dick Walker's SuperSuri's breeding program. Her micron test report of 10/04 (1.5 years old) was 18.6 microns, 3.8 SD, 20.4% CV and with a comfort factor of 99%. At 3 years her micron tested 18.0, so we can only guess how good that first fleece actually was. At over 4 years old she still produces a gorgeous 19 micron blanket. She has excellent conformation, premier suri luster, solid substance, and champion presence and stature. Cassia's first cria is a 2-time Champion and blue ribbon winner at Nationals. Her second cria is our gorgeous male, Captain's Orders. He took a second at his first show at 7 months old, but had to be pulled later on from our show string due to stress. At shearing, his micron test report of 14.4 is jaw-dropping. Then she delivered two more award-winners: Captain's Savvy, a beautiful brown female out of Captain Morgan, and Carmen Electra, a beautiful maroon female with black points out of our WLK Sterling Silver. Cassia delivered next another female out of our 11 Time Champion Armed and Dangerous. Take a look at Melony Felony! She was undefeated in her class and as a juvi took Reserve National Champion. Wow, she's a knockout! Then we decided to pair up Cassia for her finest, most lustrous cria yet with a breeding to our Champion Belmonte son Bad Bad Leroy Brown. This is a pairing between our female with the finest fleece and highest luster in our herd, with a male that had the finest fleece and highest luster of any suri born on our farm. Another girl! Check out Ice Ice Baby. Cassia is reunited with Armed & Dangerous for a repeat in 2011 of her Melony Felony.

Description

2010 NATIONAL RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION Out of our 2010 Reserve Herdsire of the Year, Melony Felony is unquestionably the best performing juvenile suri we have ever had the privilege to show. Melony Felony was entered in 5 shows this spring and came away with 5 blue ribbons and 2 color championships. At her first show at just over 6 months of age, Melony beat 4 champion and multi-champion yearling females to earn her first banner. Not only is Melony undefeated in her class, but Melony also was 1/3 of our Breeder's Best of Three team which was undefeated in three shows. Melony was also 1/3 of our Get of Sire team for 11-Time Champion, MacGyver's Armed & Dangerous which was undefeated at both shows we entered him. She helped bring home 10 blue ribbons for our farm and two championships all before 9 months of age. Just imagine what she will do next year... When we learned we would need a substitute for the AOBA auction, we knew only Melony would do. She is a beautiful replica of all the positive traits we see from her National and Futurity Champion sire. She carries impressive fineness, ample density, consistent wave-to-twist lock structure throughout her blanket, ideal conformation, and that trademark Armed & Dangerous luster. What her show record won't tell you is her champion dam Cassia out of PPeruvian Miquel had a micron of 18.6 at one year of age. At over four years of age after producing two cria, she still produced a 19.0 micron blanket, showing that rare ability to retain fineness, which we are seeing passed on now in her cria. We see this heritable trait as being among the most important for the future of our industry. Melony Felony comes with a breeding to any Andean Vista Ranch owned herdsire. 6 blue ribbons and 3 championships, including National Reserve Champion at eight months of age - Melony remains undefeated... THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS to Pat Dempsey of Beloveds Farm for her purchase of Melony to be part of her very select foundation herd.
