His class consisted of all Browns and he was the Blackest of Black in the class. The judge was very impressed with his presence and conformation and the weight of his blanket produced at a young age. He also received 1st Place at Alpacamania 2009 in the Shorn class. Luckiamute Alpacas Duncan is out of a Light Silver Grey Dam and their markings are identical. He did very well in his first show Alpacamania 2009 he received a 4th place out of 6. We personally had another boy out of Obsidian this year and he is the full brother to Zeus and we are excited about him also. His name is Drakkor Noir (Drake for short). Maya is a very nice production & fiber producing female. She has birthed 4 cria, 1 male and 3 females. So far the color of the Sire is the color she throws. There are pictures of her and her cria to the right. Her first cria Romeo has done very well in the show circuit and he is already breeding and has settled his first girls. (You can visit him on or listings). Maya has a very nice handle to her fleece, her conformation is right on and she has good bone. Her build is perfect for production. Maya is an easy one to breed. It now only takes one time and birthing is a breeze also. She will let you know when it is time to deliver and it doesn't take long for her to do the job. She is a very protective Dam and has always had good milk and a lot of it. We had Maya's fleece from this year spun into yarn and it is extremely soft and we are very pleased with the results as she is 4.5 years old and a production female. She has passed on these traits to her cria as Romeo's raw fleece and yarn is hard to keep in stock and Myty's yarn is the same. Maya produced a beautiful cria this summer 2011 bred to INCAN DARK CLOUD ARI # 320018824 and we got a wonderful results from this pairing. Dharma, Maya's 2009 cria is a beautiful Dark Fawn (she is a bit lighter thaner sire, Lakeside's Caden who can also be seen in our listings) with density and crimp to her fleece and the handle is a dream to put your hands in.
