SA PERUVIAN VALENTE

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 844332DOB: 11/12/200222 yrs
A herdsire for all breeding programs, SA Peruvian Valente has all of the qualities that a breeder could desire and should look for in a stud. SA Peruvian Valente, one of our most popular herdsires, has proven himself in the ring over and over again. The highlights of his show career show that the judges have all agreed…he is the one to best! With his exquisite fiber traits, it is no wonder that the judges have chosen him above the competition time and again. Fine fleeced with exceptionally soft handle and bright as a shiny penny, his bundled fiber has bold, high frequency crimp that pops out when you part his fleece. His uniform, dense coverage continues down straight legs and onto his helmet head. Well proportioned, his straight lines give him a stud presence worthy of a king. Valente has already proven that he passes onto his offspring his fiber characteristics of well defined, high frequency crimp making him one of our Elite Signature Herdsires. Valente comes from the most successful cross that we have at our ranch. His sire is Royal Peruvian Apollo, a multiple Champion and winner of AOBA Nationals Age and Color Champion who has gone onto sire multiple Champion offspring. Together with Peruvian Veloura Gold, these two have sired one Champion after another. The best known offspring of these, SA Peruvian Vanessa, is a 5-time Color Champion, 3-time Reserve Champion and multiple Blue Ribbon Winner. Among their other stellar offspring is SA Peruvian Velina Gold, Champion at the 2002 OABA Alpacafest and various Blue Ribbon winner who was a top seller to Maple Brook Alpacas in the 2002 Peruvian Classic Sale. Most recently, his sister SA Peruvian Valinka was sold at the AAA Futurity Auction to Don and Julie Skinner. Already a proven stud, Valente’s offspring have just started hitting the ground and will be entering the show ring soon. He has passed on defined, high frequency crimp from skin to tip – from the top of their head to the tip of their tail. Now is the perfect time to bring these genetics home, and profit from a breeding to a pedigree full of Champion genetics!

Snowmass Starz Legend

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 31795456DOB: 6/3/200915 yrs
We are excited to announce that our first year of crias from Starz Legend have been excellent! An entry of three white juvenile males, sired by Snowmass Starz Legend, won the Get of Sire Class at the 2016 AOA National Show in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Below is the writeup taken from the Snowmass Herdsire page: "Snowmass Starz Legend has been our highest rated for our show string since he was a juvenile. Without any question this young male has shown the best combination of superior traits in fleece and overall structure. He has the highest skirted fleece weight at 5.5 lbs, with superior density and remains Royal in his grade to date. He is truly our number one Snowmass Elite Legend son. We have heard the same resounding messages from the highest level judges at the highest level shows. He has won 2 White Futurity Championships 2010 and 2012. He was awarded a 3rd place in Oxford England at the 2012 World Fleece Show. This was a huge competition with the finest of all fleeces over the world. He was also awarded a second for us as an entry in the international fleece competition for The Most Uniform Breeding Program and individually took a 1st place in his fleece division over all of our and other breeders entries. Snowmass Starz Legend has acclaimed world fame as well as continues to be a stand out stud. He is one who has helped his sire Snowmass Elite Legend to win his 3 straight Herd Sire of the Year award. While Snowmaass Elite Legend remains reserved to outside breeding, this brilliant stud, his son, is being presented to hopefully someday soon take his sires reward as herd sire of the year for you and your breeding program. We are very reluctant to let him go but the Munro's have sold their herd and we have had the opportunity to breed him to a few select females in our herd and remain to have a share in his sire Elite Legend. We could not find a more promising stud male to represent our breeding programs than Snowmass Starz Legend. He will certainly create many Starz and Legends in your breeding program."
