2014 Best of US- Blue Ribbon!
Rare Modern Silver Gray
Sir Ashtan
Alpaca, Huacaya, Jr. Herdsire (Male) | Dark Silver Grey
AOA #32615135 | DOB: 9/8/2012 (12 yrs)
Sire: Charles P. Atlas
Charles P. has won five Get of Sire classes, and placed second in the other two classes entered in 2009.
We are not disappointed with the cria that Charles P. is producing, they are getting better with each birth. They all have that "eye catching" appeal, with very typey huacaya heads, and in all colors. We are also pleased to announce that many of his offspring are winning their own blue ribbons and banners. Come See For Yourself!
You only have to take one look at his face and you fall in love with this herd sire. Charles has it all: long staple, wonderful hand, excellent conformation and bite, brightness and personality. If that isn't enough, take a look at his genetics! Another Quetzal offspring with full coverage, Quetzal's outstanding head, and outstanding fleece.
The 2011 cria continue to be "eye catching"! We have started breeding Charles to gray and again, not disappointed. When bred to a MSG, he produced a DSG Female who is STUNNING!
Charles P. is co-owned with Whistler's Glen Alpacas.

Description
What a surprise when Blossom gave birth!... Bred to the multi-ribbon and get-a-sire winner Charles P. Atlas, we did not expect a modern dark silver gray! Charlie has only 2 other modern gray's on record, and he pulled off another stunner in Ashtan.
Ashtan from birth exhibited the crimp style that we expect when breeding the genetics of 4Peruvian Matador/PPeruvian Timoteo crossed with Jeronimo/Silvio/Royal Fawn. You feel the finess and comfort but see the crimp structure. The one thing that everyone (including his first show judge) cannot help but comment on: He is stunning looking - big bold full covered legs, nice square body and oh.. his head (another Charlie attribute).
Competing in his first show this fall, we made the mistake of getting him into a show that did not have alot of Rose Gray entries .. he was competing against much lighter silver color grays... but he still took a third! The judge commented on his perfect comformation (best in class), outstanding coverage and finest in the class.
Ashtan is headed for the Spring 2014 Show circuit (Best of US and Buckeye). He will start his breeding career in the Summer of 2014. Call us to see this rare Modern Silver Gray Jr. Herdsire.
