Viola has the best of two worlds. He has a regal and ever-watchful bearing, a large frame, with good, straight conformation, a model temperament, spectacular fleece characteristics, & a Champion lineage to match. His dense fleece is soft, fine and crimpy, with a well-defined lock structure. At the age of 20 months, Viola was ready to start his breeding career, and so, we are expecting his first crop of crias in Spring 2012!! In 2010, he was appraised by both Jude Anderson and Amanda VandenBosch. They said: "This young male has a good head, a well-balanced frame, and a good bite. His fleece displays good staple length, has a very nice handle, and an even medium rose grey blanket." His sire, SNOWMASS PERUVIAN CASANOVA has arguably produced more Champion Offspring than any other Gray Breeding Male in North America! High seller at the 2002 Celebrity Futurity Auction, Casanova was sold for an amazing $147,000! In 2003, Casanova took home the prestigious Futurity Herdsire of the Year honors for his outstanding offspring. In 2005, his son-Snowmass Nova took home the Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year, and then in early 2006, was sold for a mind-blowing $300,000!!! That was the first time a sire and his progeny have won this prestigious award!! Then, there is Casanova's sire--PERUVIAN BUENO. Bueno's accomplishments and award winning cria are so numerous, it is impossible to list them all. Picked as the #1 choice by three of the country's leading Alpaca breeders, this super Peruvian Macho was the high-selling Alpaca at the 1994 Spring Celebrity Sale. Bueno has also produced more "Get of Sires" than any male in the country - he is simply legendary. On Viola's OTHER side, there is first his dam: PV ROCKFORD'S RHAPSODY, out of AUSSIE ROCKFORD and FABIA OF STAR HILL (out of the top west coast grey herdsire--FANTASY'S GREMLIN & a maroon dam. Her offspring won numerous blue ribbons as well.). In 2008, Rhapsody took a Blue Ribbon in Yearling Grays at the Heart of the Valley in Halter and a 3rd in a competitive class at CABA. Then, there is the famed Silver Gray half-Accoyo AUSSIE ROCKFORD, out of Legendary Accoyo PPERUVIAN FELIX--who was known to throw a wide range of colors and fine fleeces, champions and high selling alpacas--& HANNAHRUH--who's every cria was an award winner or color champion, including the well-known Painted Sky Apres Vous, Aussie Colorado Dillinger, and Aussie Rockford. Aussie Rockford has won ribbons all over the country, in every show he has been in. Of his 186 registered offspring, almost 80% are either black or gray out of dams of varying colors. All of his amazing attributes, he passed onto Viola. As you can see, with this male comes extraordinary potential. What would a Casanova offspring do to enhance your sales list? Thank you Mother Earth Alpacas for choosing Viola for breedings!!

Dam: Angelique De Llabe

21.8AFD at 12 years old!!!!

Angelique De Llabe

HuacayaBred (Female)White, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Light Rose Grey, Medium Rose Grey

"Angie" is a very sweet even tempered proven dam, and has produced colored cria from fawn to dark brown. She comes from rose gray blood lines and though she could be considered white, we think she is actually a very light rose gray with Brown and medium Rose gray patches; therefore she easily might be able to produce rose gray. At the age of 12, Angie's MFD was the astonishing number of 21.8!!! Those kind of numbers are rare! Her fleece is extremely soft as well, & has good density, luster, & a fine handle. Pictured on the right is her half brother-Vengador's Sultan Cassimer, who when sheared in 2008 gave a whopping 13.7 pounds of fine, bright fleece!! Cassimer came 1st at the New Mexico State Fair in 2008, & the judge said "He is everything you would want in a herdsire". Imagine having those kind of genetics in her!!! All 13 of her crias, have inherited her beautiful fleece, & have been transferred all over the US including Hawaii. Though she may be 'older', she still conceives quickly, delivers healthy cria, retains weight well, and has no issues. In 2011, Angie produced a daughter -- Orchid, by our blue-ribbon Champion -- Snowmass Snow Legend. She is so incredible, we are retaining her for our Breeding Herd. In 2012 and 2013, when bred to Silver Spoon Viola--our Medium Rose Gray herdsire, who is an outstanding son of Snowmass Peruvian Casanova (sire of Snowmass Nova) & grandson of Aussie Rockford, Angie produced 2 patterned brown and white cria (male and female), with gorgeous fleece, and potential possibilities of turning rose gray. This year, we decided to repeat a breeding back to Snowmass Snow Legend for what is sure to be another spectacular cria, due in July 2014!! NOTE: The cut-rate prices of our girls are not a reflection of their quality. We simply need to make room for the new cria coming on this year! Our loss is your gain!!

Description

"Muddy" is the product of a well-thought out breeding from Angelique de Llabe--our Rose Gray Appalousa matriarch, who has an extremely soft, dense & lustery coat, and a micron count of 21.8, at the ripe old age of 12!!!!--and our Rose Gray herdsire, Silver Spoon Viola, who is an outstanding son of Snowmass Peruvian Casanova (sire of Snowmass Nova) & grandson of Aussie Rockford. We would not be surprised if Muddy's fleece turns into a lovely rose gray, and eagerly await to see what his fleece looks like at the end of the year. Don't miss out on this soon-to-be star!! Besides his good looks and easy-going temperament, he has a pedigree to match, and is sure to make an amazing herdsire.
