Silver Spoon Viola

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 31838245DOB: 9/3/200915 yrs
Viola has the best of two worlds. He has a regal and ever-watchful bearing, a large frame, with good, straight conformation, a model temperament, spectacular fleece characteristics, & a Champion lineage to match. His dense fleece is soft, fine and crimpy, with a well-defined lock structure. At the age of 20 months, Viola was ready to start his breeding career, and so, we are expecting his first crop of crias in Spring 2012!! In 2010, he was appraised by both Jude Anderson and Amanda VandenBosch. They said: "This young male has a good head, a well-balanced frame, and a good bite. His fleece displays good staple length, has a very nice handle, and an even medium rose grey blanket." His sire, SNOWMASS PERUVIAN CASANOVA has arguably produced more Champion Offspring than any other Gray Breeding Male in North America! High seller at the 2002 Celebrity Futurity Auction, Casanova was sold for an amazing $147,000! In 2003, Casanova took home the prestigious Futurity Herdsire of the Year honors for his outstanding offspring. In 2005, his son-Snowmass Nova took home the Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year, and then in early 2006, was sold for a mind-blowing $300,000!!! That was the first time a sire and his progeny have won this prestigious award!! Then, there is Casanova's sire--PERUVIAN BUENO. Bueno's accomplishments and award winning cria are so numerous, it is impossible to list them all. Picked as the #1 choice by three of the country's leading Alpaca breeders, this super Peruvian Macho was the high-selling Alpaca at the 1994 Spring Celebrity Sale. Bueno has also produced more "Get of Sires" than any male in the country - he is simply legendary. On Viola's OTHER side, there is first his dam: PV ROCKFORD'S RHAPSODY, out of AUSSIE ROCKFORD and FABIA OF STAR HILL (out of the top west coast grey herdsire--FANTASY'S GREMLIN & a maroon dam. Her offspring won numerous blue ribbons as well.). In 2008, Rhapsody took a Blue Ribbon in Yearling Grays at the Heart of the Valley in Halter and a 3rd in a competitive class at CABA. Then, there is the famed Silver Gray half-Accoyo AUSSIE ROCKFORD, out of Legendary Accoyo PPERUVIAN FELIX--who was known to throw a wide range of colors and fine fleeces, champions and high selling alpacas--& HANNAHRUH--who's every cria was an award winner or color champion, including the well-known Painted Sky Apres Vous, Aussie Colorado Dillinger, and Aussie Rockford. Aussie Rockford has won ribbons all over the country, in every show he has been in. Of his 186 registered offspring, almost 80% are either black or gray out of dams of varying colors. All of his amazing attributes, he passed onto Viola. As you can see, with this male comes extraordinary potential. What would a Casanova offspring do to enhance your sales list? Thank you Mother Earth Alpacas for choosing Viola for breedings!!

Dam: Rockford Snow Legends Artic Sunrise

Snowmass + Bred to Casanova Son!!

Rockford Snow Legends Artic Sunrise

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Fawn, Medium Fawn
AOA# 31172004DOB: 12/19/200717 yrs
Sunrise has beautifully dense & lustrous fleece with a good, strong micron count and conformation. As proven below, with this female, comes color, & lots of variety as well. Nowadays, there are so many breeding opportunities, making endless possibilities for her offspring’s color, etc. For example, Arlene Francis-her maternal grandmother produced a shadow of her self in Faline-Sunrise’s dam. Faline has the look of a vicuna, is exceedingly sweet to both animals & people, & a real pleasure to work with, as she would never spit on a human. In addition to this, she is also an exceptional mother with easy deliveries & plenty of milk. At the age of 6, Faline had an outstanding micron count of 21.6! Amazing!!! She also has wonderful density & luster, as well as being the daughter of Wooded Hills Winston (pictured ad right), a medium silver gray male with exquisite fleece. Sunrise's sire - award-winning Accoyo SNOWMASS SNOW LEGEND - is one of the finest studs in the nation, who had a cashmere-like fleece of 14.4 micron count in 2004 and has retained his lingering fineness, still at 20.8 microns at 9 years of age. He represents the greatness of his sire & grandsire, with an additional brightness, luster & highly expressive crimp making an unbelievable fleece on this true Champion. Snowmaster & Snowmass IncaAccoyo Star passed all this onto Legend, plus a great disposition! Sunrise had her first cria--Lunar Eclipse, by Snowmass Reminiscence, who has almost impenetrably dense fleece and a champion ancestry line from Snowmass Snowmaster, Snowmass Edelweis, Snowmass Legacy Gold, and Snowmass Andean Gold. Lunar is dense and has a bouncy crimp. In 2012, we bred her to Silver Spoon Viola--our Medium Rose Gray herdsire, who is an outstanding son of Snowmass Peruvian Casanova (sire of Snowmass Nova) & grandson of Aussie Rockford--to see if we could bring out her gray genetics.... And sure enough, she threw Silver Streak -- a stunning, dense Medium Silver Gray/Light Silver Gray male!! Silver Streak's fleece is extremely soft, dense, and has a long staple length, following after his sire. We are currently rebreeding Sunrise to Silver Spoon Viola again for a Spring 2014 cria, for what is sure to be another stunning cria! If you want color, don't miss this matching!! With some of the top Gray genetics and Snowmass genetics combined, this incredible 2-in-1 package is sure to be a fantastic addition to your herd!! NOTE: The cut-rate prices of our girls are NOT a reflection of their quality. We simply need to make room for the new cria coming on this year! Our loss is your gain!! *Auction Only Add-Ons: For $300 more, you can get an unrelated junior herdsire, with Snowmass genetics. (Please contact us for details)

Description

Silver Streak is packed with genetics and fleece. Density, long staple length, crimp, good conformation, and a temperament to match, he would be a perfect pick to bring color and staple length to your herd. Originally showing a Rose Gray blanket, it has now turned completely Silver Gray...think about that fleece!!! Silver Streak has Champion genetics on both sides: His sire, Rose Gray SILVER SPOON VIOLA has everything you could want in a Stud--a regal and ever-watchful bearing, a large frame with good, straight conformation, a model temperament, and spectacular fleece characteristics, including lots of staple length. His dam, ROCKFORD SNOW LEGENDS ARTIC SUNRISE is no less. In Viola's lineage, you'll find SNOWMASS PERUVIAN CASANOVA, multi-Champion producer, who sold in 2006 for $300,000; PERUVIAN BUENO, with almost innumberable accomplishments and Champion offspring; PV ROCKFORD'S RHAPSODY, out of AUSSIE ROCKFORD (who won ribbons in every show he has entered around the country) and FABIA OF STAR HILL (out of the top west coast grey herdsire--FANTASY'S GREMLIN & a maroon dam. Her offspring won numerous blue ribbons as well.); famed Silver Gray half-Accoyo AUSSIE ROCKFORD, out of Legendary Accoyo PPERUVIAN FELIX--another Champion thrower in a wide range of colors and fine fleeces--& HANNAHRUH--who's every cria was an award winner or color champion, including the well-known Painted Sky Apres Vous, Aussie Colorado Dillinger, and Aussie Rockford. Streak's dam-Sunrise brings a different spin on things, with Accoyo multi-blue ribbon winner SNOWMASS SNOW LEGEND as sire, and WHIRLWIND'S FALINE as dam (daughter of exquisite fleeced, Medium Silver Gray, WOODED HILLS WINSTON). Snow Legend is sired by the great SNOWMASS INCAACCOYO STAR, & is grandson to PERUVIAN SNOWMASTER himself! Snow Legend has extremely dense, very fine fleece, with lots of luster, crimp, and much more!!! Sunrise comes from a line of lingering fineness (where their fleece stays fine). At the age of 6, her dam, Faline, had an outstanding micron count of 21.6, and Sunrise herself, at age 5, still has a Micron count of 21.9. Snowmass Snow Legend also started out with a first shearing of 14.4 microns, and still, at age 9, his micron count was 20.8!! As proven above, with this junior herdsire, comes extraordinary potential. What could this kind of addition to your herd add? Color, Lingering Fineness, Density, Staple Length, Strong Conformation..everything every alpaca owner wants.
