Hemingway's done it again; with another exceptional cria…Hemingway's Naomi is excellent in every way. She shines with his genes, with the ‘Hemingway head’, lovely topknot, and perfect spear-shaped ears & a wonderful handle, density, luster, and more!!! Naomi is very sweet and loves to play, yet she is tall like both of her parents. She’s readily following her beautiful dam's footsteps, by being an exceptional mother with plenty of milk & easy birthing practices. So far, Naomi has given 75% female cria, ranging between the colors of dark brown, dark fawn, & white, with gorgeous, dense fleece containing lots of crimp, density, and handle. Naomi will add pervasive fineness and elite genetics to your breeding program, as well as remarkable density and lingering fineness (meaning their fleece stays fine), as she has already done for us. Naomi's histograms show incredible fineness: Though her first 2 shearings (when she was being boarded) weren't the most impressive (AFD of 20 and 21.4, respectively), look what it has been ever since!: 3rd year: 18.7; 5th year: 18.2; 6th year: 19.5; and 7th year: 18.7!!!! Description

We are excited to add Jewel to our breeding program. Not only does she have pervasive fineness and elite genetics, but her fleece is very bright with tight crimp, and dense bundles of low micron, low amplitude, high frequency crimp with long staple length. Jewel was sired by Accoyo America Diomedes, out of Full Accoyo PCA Accoyo Tia--a Caligula daughter--and PCA Hemingway Accoyo Nautilus--a cross of Hemingway and Accoyo Sicuani, a white dam whose fleece has won numerous shows. Diomedes has been shown multiple times and won multiple times, and placed 2nd in the AOBA National Show in 2006. The fleece judge for 2008 Alpacapalooza, Cheryl Gehly, agreed with us about Diomedes' 2007 blanket. She wrote "Wow! Simply spectacular..." and awarded him 20 OUT OF 20 FOR FINENESS AND HANDLE, 9.5 OUT OF 10 FOR CHARACTER, AND 5 OUT OF 5 FOR DENSITY. In addition, Diomedes won the COLOR CHAMPION, BEST CRIMP, and JUDGE'S CHOICE awards. Diomedes has that perfect combination of fineness and density with an indescribable brightness, and he is passing it on...in lights and in color! First histograms on his offspring are fabulous! Of the 11 that we tested in 2010, all but three fell under 17 microns (with those 3 at 17.2, 19.1, 19.2,) and the SD's ranged from 2.9 to 3.7. AND SECOND HISTOGRAMS FOLLOW SUIT...OF THE NINE YEARLINGS TESTED IN 2010, ALL BUT TWO WERE UNDER 18 MICRONS. One of Diomedes' "grandcrias" had an incredible first histogram of 12.4 AFD, 2.2 SD, 0.2%>30. Jewel's dam is no less: Hemingway's Naomi, as shown in her name, was sired by the one and only Studmaster Hemingway.
