Description

Ira, what can I say except I cant wait to get my first cria! There is more fiber on this girl than even her pictures show. When we brought Ira's fleece to be evaluated by Winnie Labrecque at a fiber sorting and training class, Winnie stopped the presses and made everyone in the class, even the huacaya breeders, come over look at her advanced lock structure. Evidentially this stacked fleece effect causes the fleece to accordion out away from the body like pages in a book. This is caused by there being so much organized fleece in one area that the weight of each successive layer created these layers all coming out of the same area. Winnie indicated she had only seen this twice before. Not only that, Ira is out of Black Beau...think of the color opportunities. Now we took our first breeding to Goldstar. This should be an awesome cria. We may not be able to find it under all that fleece. But I really brought her here to Kentucky to breed her to Mont Blanc. He is in the top 1% in 6 out of 7 EPD traits. Who else are you going to cross to these Kahuna and Goldstar and Electrofyre Genetics. So this spring after she has her cria, we are going to get something really interesting to breed with. Can't wait!
